This is a very rare car. The XR2 has a sport suspension, turbocharger, and spoiler package, not found on the base model. Only 366 were produced and as few as 150 remain in the world. It is extremely dependable. It has the 1.6 liter Mazda engine with four valves/cylinder, dual overhead cams, and intercooled turbocharger. It runs strong and smooth and uses no oil. The 5 speed transmission shifts like new. The clutch is very good as well. The condition is good. I would drive it anywhere. The tires and struts have less than 1, 000 miles on them. It has after market wheels, but comes with the factory rims that are in very good condition. Included is a factory hard top with factory storage cart. The soft top is like new and works perfectly. The heater blows hot and the A/C is very cold. The 1994 Capri was the first year that used R134 refrigerant. Although, I've never had to add any in the 10+ years that we've owned it. The pop up headlights, power locks/windows, stereo, gauges all work good. The battery is less than one year old. The cruise control stopped working last fall. I don't know what the issue is. The air bag light recently came on as well. It has a clear Kansas title. I have used AMSOIL Signature Series 0W-30 as long as I've owned it. Selling as is with no warranty.

Most of you know the history of the modern Capri line, or you probably wouldn't be here. The word rare is a relative term, of course. It is sometimes used to describe any year or package of this line of cars. Actually, there's a great write up at here . This explains the life of these cars, and their differences.
ALSO, many Capris suffer from alternator/water pump belt break. This is NO fun! However, the vehicle featured here has been repaired to prevent this problem from occurring. I've driven it for about two thousand miles with zero problems. I can assure you, this car doesn't break belts!

The 1994 model year saw many improvements and refinements with the 1994 XR2 being the most sought after model. Although not all improvements were well publicized following are some of the best known: passenger side airbag added, sport suspension, quicker steering and improved gearing in the M/T, updated rear tail lights, front & rear bumpers, sport side skirts added, 5 and 7 spoke sport wheels, Recarro styled leather seating, center console with lid & cup holder, etc.
