Up for sale is my 1996 Land Rover Discovery Series 1. This has been a great car and is definitely the most unique vehicle in town. This vehicle has been owned by an avid Land Rover enthusiast and has been extremely well cared for.
This vehicle has just passed Maryland State Inspection, which is one of the strictest state tests.
Originally this vehicle came from Tennessee which is why there isn't any rust and the underbody and door wells are in such great shape.
Let me tell you about some of the modifications done to this vehicle. A number of years ago a fully rebuilt bigger land rover engine with a performance cam shaft was installed which has really helped in the comfortable driving capability of the Discovery. There is no doubt in my mind the engine will outlast the rest of the vehicle. There is a powerdercoated front winch bumper installed, as well as a Safety Devices roof rack and ladder which were factory options from Land Rover. The lights on the roof are 4 Hella 4, 000's operated by a switch on the dashboard. The suspension has been upgraded with 3 high springs and shocks, with rear spring relocating cones and extended stainless steel brake lines. The tires are slightly larger and are only 1 year old. The steering linkage and control arms have been replaced with HD ones. Also, the vehicle comes with a CB radio and antenna installed in the above center console.
As you can see the interior is in pretty good shape. The headliner has been replaced and all the seats are in good condition.
