Vin check shows it was a rental/ lease at some point. I bought it from the people who rent to the movie industry. I googled just for fun. Yep there it is in the background in movies and TV shows. OK here's my story. Maybe this is happened to you before so you can understand. I bought this vehicle not only because they are collectors going up in value the more people wreck them, but also to fix up and make it look really cool you know big wheels and do all that fun stuff that people do to them. All along being super excited about fixing it up! I loved the idea of a 4 wheel drive sports car LOL It also has good bones to start with meaning no accidents, the body is straight, clean inside and out for the most part for being 22 years old. I know that I paid too much for in the first place so I'm definitely going to be losing money, but then again I thought I would never sell it. Well, then it happened the five letter word that really is a four letter word TAXES! I'm going to get hit pretty hard because of my husband work has been slim. Well there goes my dream project car. I can't put any more money into fixing it up. I have tried to fix the stuff that is the most immediate so I apologize that I wasn't able to fix the rest of it but the money I put aside to do all that got sucked up by Uncle Sam's vacuum cleaner! In any case I hope that somebody else will be able to start where I left off. Please feel free to come down and drive it back I can help with airport pickups and such. This is being sold on several sites, CL etc...
This is such a great little fun car to drive. AUTO trans so much better for commuting also great GAS mileage 25-28. Perfect for towing behind an RV. Cloth interior, cruise control, Power windows, power steering, COLD AC/heat, tires and brakes and tires good, T-tops (that don't leak) LOW 124k mi, CLEAN! NO ACCIDENTS, Carfax in hand, clean title, just PASSED emissions. Recent OVERALL inspection done by Marshalls on Indian School. TIMING BELT and EGR valve good. ETC. here's what I wasn't able to fix: slow moving electric windows, a few dings, looks like previous owner had some dent repair done on edge of hood in front, nice job though, AC button does not stay pressed in but works great! Muffler works fine but looks a little jaded. Soundsystem needs help, alignment, gearbox, valve cover and distributor seepage. Brake fluid flush, differential service, heater hoses are all original. Let me know what I missed. I tried to take strategic pictures of the undercarriage.
Whoever ends up with this little darling, I just want you to be at peace with your purchase! I realize that buying a car just by pictures can be tough. I like a clean, honest and fair deal for everyone. My integrity means the world to me so ask any question or for any picture BEFORE BIDDING! so there are no misunderstandings. I will tell you everything you need to know as much as I do :-)
