It sports a great running 290 horsepower 4.0 liter V8 engine mated to the factory automatic transmission with stopping power provided by four wheel disc brakes with anti-lock [ABS]. Features include electric convertible top with glass window and tonneau cover, cold a/c, electric windows, electric leather seating, alloy wheels with good Bridgestone Turanza rubber, Bose stereo with cd changer, wood trim and dual airbags. THE BODY AND TRIM

The exterior of this 1997 Jaguar is in very good to excellent 99.9% rust-free condition overall. The paint has a deep lustrous gleam and looks all original except the rear bumper which was repainted. There are a fair share of various nicks and small scratches one would expect of a twenty year-old vehicle.
THE INTERIOR
As I hope is articulated in the photos, the interior of this non-smoker 1997 XK8 is in good to very good original condition overall with cold air conditioning and all other lights, gages and controls working as they should. Imperfections inside the car include stuck center cup holder, some wear on the wood finish of the steering wheel and other trim surfaces along with a split in the bottom cushion of the driver seat. Overall this is still one very handsome and comfortable British cockpit!
THE DRIVING EXPERIENCE
This '97 Jag starts easily with superb running powerful V8 engine and good shifting transmission, solid and secure braking and buttery smooth steering. There is an occasional clunk over sharp bumps from what appears to be where the top latches in place.
This is still one smooth highway cruiser that gobbles up miles on a sunny top down afternoon!
