1997 Land Rover NAS Defender 90. 73, 000 original miles. Number SW2260. One of 1, 300 hard tops sold in 1997, and the last year the Defender was ever sold in the U.S. This numbers-matching truck has the original 4.0L V8 (3, 9546cc) engine mated to an auto transmission. Only year with the revised and stronger motor (extra block ribbing, revised pistons, and larger cross-bolted main-bearings). Very rust free, incredibly original and clean. New alternator, heater blower, and stainless steel exhaust. BFGoodrich All Terrain T/A tires (5x) look as new. Regular maintenance, part of an enthusiast's collection. Second owner; part of the same collection for 11+ years. Truck hasn't been taken off road. Chassis, bulkheads, floors, undersides of doors, hinges, etc. are all in solid shape. Hinge screws have been proactively replaced with stainless steel to mitigate oxidization issues. Upholstery is original and un-torn. Truck located in Leesburg VA area.
