1999 Pontiac Trans Am

Pontiac Trans Am (1999)
for sale

Price: US $5,950.00

Description:

99 Trans Am, the car body has around 180k, the shell, the rest was replaced with parts from another trans am that had 105k on it. The engine, rearend, all suspension, seats, dash, column, wiring etc.
LS1 had a new crank kit installed, refreshened at the same time, about 3k miles ago. New gaskets top to bottom, new oil, timing set, Trick Flow 560 lift cam, gm performance valve springs, stainless headers, stainless catback with new high flow converters. It was professionally tuned. Newer 02 sensors, battery was replaced recently. It was a t56 car converter to a th400, the trans is dated 1971. It has manual/auto valve body, 3000 stall... trans was built, but don't have the specifics on it. You can down shift at any rpm. I drive it like a manual. If you put in drive it pulls out in 2nd. It has a heavy duty swap crossmember with torque arm mount... was near 400 for just it. Whole th400 swap was in the 2k range. I took a section of an auto car and screwed it down in the 6 speed tunnel using the boot screws... so would be easy to put a manual back in. Would need the clutch pedal assembly to do that also. Brand new rear tires, fronts are 70% or so left.
I have never dyno'd or raced it, so please don't ask dyno numbers or et, can't answer either. It isn't obnoxiously loud at idle, nor does it have that really cammed sound, but the idle could be tuned down some if you have a tuner, was tuned with hp tuners. It is fairly loud at wide open throttle. I was going to swap in a ford 9, but too many projects and no time to do much with the car. I daily drive it in the summer months. The underside is very clean, no rust. I never drove it in snow/salt.
Dash has some minor cracks, ds seat a little wore at the usual bolster area, passenger door panel has a crack. Back of the hood corner has a kink and some paint wear, chips etc... what you'd expect for a 20 year old car. Has 2000ish camaro wheels. Was going to swap them with the rear, but didn't want to order wheels til I knew the offset.
Car was never wrecked and a very clean metal car... whole reason I bought it to build. The original parts I replaced were stripped by the previous owner to swap into another build.
Car is sold as is, no warranty. 250 deposit due to use the buy it now. I can store the car for as long as needed. Have a large lot here if you need to have a carrier pick up and it could be picked up any time/day.
