1999 Sterling LT8513 dump truck - original owner - 48, 000 original miles, Cat 3126E 300 HP Engine with an 8 speed, double low transmission, double frame. 18, 000 FA with 40, 000# RA - there is room to sneak a third axle onto this truck. This truck is in overall good condition, starts on the coldest days without being plugged in but is equipped with a block heater. Great heat and air conditioning - the interior is in excellent condition. Air brakes, air pto, air tail gate as well as a 2 way gate with asphalt skuttles which need some welding - heated Bibeau dump body in fair to good shape with apron. 11.00R X 22.5 are 60% and the front tires are 40 - 50%. Toolbox storage under the passenger seat, sun visor. 75 gallon rectangle drivers side tank needs new steps but I have a brand new 100 gal. round tank with all the hardware including steps. Heated drivers seat, cruise control, intermittent windshield wipers, stereo with factory speakers just forward of driver/passenger seats.
This is a owner operator truck, never smoked in - top end of 73 MPH. This truck was mostly used to pull my equipment from job to job, onsite and occasionally to get stone or gravel when I couldn't get deliveries, thus the low mileage. I had Donovan Truck out of N.H. install the 11' Monroe power angle plow in 2013 and the plow only saw three seasons, it is in like new condition. The torsion spring on the hood has rusted up so it difficult to latch the hood on the drivers side only. Runs great but the internal o-rings on a injector has dried so it is smoking a little bit but once she's taken out on the big road and run I'm pretty sure the o-ring will soften back up. It has a 25 ton pintle hook with air to the rear and strobes in the rear for plowing.
I purchased a new truck in 2014 and semi retired the Sterling in 2015 so it's time she finds a new home. The setback front axle allows the truck to turn better than my F450 service truck - she will be a good truck for someone who doesn't mind doing a little bit of maintenance to bring her back to great condition. 10'9 to top of the cab shield.
