I own other BMW's and had a similar Z3 like this one that my Son-in-Law really liked but I had sold. My daughter asked me to find a similar clean Atlantic Blue Z3 and build it for his 30th birthday because he always spoke about how much he loved how mine looked and drove.
This is a California car; purchased at Sterling BMW in Newport Beach. I purchased it and the owner had just replaced the engine with a low mile (75, 000mi) engine from a donor vehicle. It had the clutch replaced at the same time and she had replaced the top with a Hartz Canvas Top.
It ran great and was perfect for what my daughter ordered; here is a short list of what was done - I have ALL receipts for this work:

My son-in-law enjoyed for 2 years and then my other daughter bought for her husband who always admired it. He wanted to sell as they needed money for a new business they are starting. I wrote them a check as I hated to see the car go but unfortunately I will not drive enough and the car is just fun to drive.
It has a clear and clean CA title; registration is paid until November 2020. It has passed CA stringent smog test without any trouble and is a great car.
It recently had the ABS/DSC light go on and I believe it may be the wheel sensor as is often the case. I just purchased a BMW Diagnostic tool and will verify the codes.
Either way, selling the car very cheap as most others have not been completely gone through like this car. Handles amazing and drives great with a nice sound.
