2001 Nissan Altima GXE for sale - needs overheated heads repaired - we paid $500 to have verified by local mechanic. Car has Tinted Windows, Power Seats, Aluminum/Alloy wheels. Detailed maintenance records since buying the car in 2005. Most recent improvements include: 4 new tires ($500) and wheel alignment, Replaced transaxles, Sanded headlights and re-painted entire car ($1500) due to sun fading. NOTE: This car will work best for a mechanic who has the experience to complete the repair without the labor cost. By completing the repairs yourself the part cost (head gasket, grease, oil, etc.) will be minimal, leaving you with a car worth around $3, 700 NADA when you are finished. I have the knowledge to repair it, but do not have the tools at the moment or the time. If one of you do not buy it I will most likely work with a local high school auto shop to have it repaired to help students learn this type of repair, and then one of my kids can drive it as the body is in excellent shape especially with the new paint.
