I bought this a little over a year ago because I don't like to keep much money in the bank. I am a Master ASE mechanic. I bought this one because it was clean and just needed a few repairs. I installed factory 15 alloy rims, new headlamp assemblies, repaired the sagging headliner (with one that will NOT fall down again) and repaired the AC system. Right now the only thing inop is the idle is a bit high, and I have ordered a new MAP sensor. The cassette player does not work but the radio does. This is a fantastic riding car and handles well rain or shine due to new uni-directional tires on the new rims. It had a few blemishes to the panels and Herman, my buddy at STATE Auto Body ended up repainting the whole car for me. The 3 door coupes with stick shift are rather rare. Included is a complete set of factory repair manuals. Oh, and the original 'exploding' spare tire manufactured negligently by FIRESTONE ... has been replaced. The rear seats fold down allowing one to transport very long items ( which can go all the way from the dash and out thru the trunk lid opening. I think I carried some 16 lumber with this car ! Finally, the best thing about this Saturn is the engine which has a timing chain instead of the lame - self serving - rubber belt installed on most cars nowadays. This alone will save you a $1, 000.00 repair bill every $60, 000 miles.
