Up for sale is my 2002 Honda S2000. I purchased it a few months ago with the intentions of using it as a weekend car and to get into some amateur racing. My work schedule has become extremely hectic and with a new car on the way I don't have the time or space for it unfortunately.
I purchased the car in its current modified state. The car has been extensively modified to be a competent road course racer while still being streetable, reasonably affordable, and reliable. Think Viper ACR or 911 Gt3 on a budget lol. To enable a bigger wheel and tire package a Jay's Racing Widebody Kit was installed. A functional rear wing was added along with an Ap2 front bumper with the downforce producing CR lip. The front braking system has been upgraded to Jays racing 6 piston calipers. The motor is mostly stock besides for a jays racing intake and skunk 2 header which is mated to a full titanium Jays racing exhaust(Extremely Loud). The suspension has been upgraded to megan Race coil overs that have a custom spring rate that was advised by Jays Racing R&D team in japan. They also provided the previous over with alignment specs which he used when the alignment and corner balancing was done. All in all I have to say that this thing handles incredible, the turn in is super sharp, there's tons of grip, the body is well controlled , and at the limit it is much more forgiving than a stock s2000.
I have had no mechanical issues with the car since purchasing it. The motor runs strong with no leaks, noises, smoking, or overheating. Transmission operates smoothly and the clutch does not slip. I find that it does grap a little high a replacement or adjustment may be needed in the future. The brakes are all new , as are the tires. Suspension operates very smoothly. I would say the great is in excellent shape from a mechanical standpoint.
There has been lots of time and money put into this car to get it to its current state. It however isn't a show car. Since obviously the new body parts had to be painted the previous owner opted to dip the entire car a metallic blue. It does look presentable there are no major flaws but its not perfect. I would have done the same since the car will be used on track and no need to ruin an expensive paint job. The rear bumpers lower section has been cut out to fit a rear diffuser. The soft top is in good condition but has a minor tear, a new one is included. Please look closely at the pictures and feel free to contact me for any specifics. Apr gtc-300 spoiler ( very very functional and best wing for the s2000 ) . But at 270lbs of downforce at 120mph along with 100lbs of lest lift with the J's wide body front and 50lbs of downforce with the cr front lip an added 6 in of width all around you won't find and s2000 that is street driven that handles as good as this car does . Also has downforce rx7 side skirts as these are a better match the the widebody and were actually suggested to me directly from J's racings ( japaneses ) r and d department . Also the same guy who helped to set up the suspension on this car . It has a soft top less than a year old ( that has a very minor tear ) I have a brand new top not installed for it . that will be included in the sale
