Up for auction is a 2002 Mitsubishi Eclipe RS. My fiancée, Jennifer, graduated college and has a source of income so she decided to purchase another car. This Eclipse is her previous daily driver. This vehicle is listed locally. If it sells locally, then this auction will be pulled prior to ending.
She is the third owner of the vehicle having obtained it previously from a woman that had a mechanic in the family that keep the car updated. The last 43K miles have been put on by Jennifer who has kept it maintained with basic maintenance such a oil and air filter changes, tire and brake pad replacements, spark plugs, etc.
The car runs. It has rough starts on cold winter days taking a little bit to warm up, otherwise drives fine. I suspect there may be some improvements to be made by working on the fuel injectors as I swapped out the spark plugs but that didn't fix it. Take this with a grain of salt as I am not a licensed mechanic, just a hobbyist. This vehicle is not being sold with any type of warranty.
The vehicle was involved in a reported accident Sept 2012. This very minor, very low mph backing up in a parking spot. No dents, possible paint transfer. The police officer on the scene was in disbelief that he was even called out for it; however, the other driver that was hit had a pension for the dramatic.

The Good
-Has working AC and Heat.
-Good AM/FM radio/CD player with wiring for additional speakers.
-Automatic transmission
-Automatic locks and window controls.
-Tires in good condition (donut in trunk)
-Original fenders with car (currently has after market fenders installed)
The Bad
-Passenger side rear view mirror broken
-Passenger door handle cover chipped
-Passenger side of front bumper is broken off (plastic clips are broken)
-Passenger side turn signal wires are not connected (due to bumper detachment)
-Driver side tail light plastic cover fell off
-Bumper, front fenders, back fenders, top of car and spoiler paint fading.
-Small rip in driver seat
-Bleach stain on floor of back seat driver side
-Cracked dashboard
Shop Maintenance
-The engine was replaced and has 30K less miles on it than the car body. This ad uses the total mileage, so the engine is 30K less than the odometer picture and the mileage on this ad. This work was done prior to Jennifer buying the car by the mechanic in the first owner's family.
-Replaced alternator
-Had a radiator leak around the top plastic seal which was replaced. No longer an issue.
