I have an 02 dodge Dakota quad cab that been converted to a rock crawler. It has a Solid axle swap and pretty much everything else
Tires: 37 MTRs lots of life left on steel dodge rims.
Front axle: high pinion Dana 44 with Detroit and 4.88 gears and disk brakes and crossover steering with f250 box. On leafs springs with slider boxes very smooth and strong. The factory steering pump I have an 02 dodge Dakota quad cab that been converted to a rock crawler. It has a Solid axle swap and pretty much everything else leaking, I think the tank has a crack in it.
Rear axle: Dana 60 with 35 spline axle shaft
conversion with full spool 4.88 and disk brakes
Engine and transmission: stock 4.7l v8 and NV 3500 5 speed. And new battery
Transfer case: 231/Dana 300 doubler. The Dana 300 is mated to a 231 strong box the 300 has been flipped over with custom top mounted twin stick shifters. Final crawl ratio is 135:1 it pushes through the brakes on my manual transmission.
The interior is all flawless everything works, windows, heat A/C. It's the luxury crawler for sure! It had been a trailer queen due to the rear full spool but other than that is pretty street able. Runs really well and crawls even better. It turnis heads like crazy keeping up with pretty much any other rig.
It does have minor leaks in the transfer case and transmission output seal and diff seal but nothing bad. It also has a new minor body dents from wheeling one in the hood one small on the driver and one on the bed. It does not have a front bumper as shown in some of the pictures, and it does come with a white lockable hard bed cover. No muffler so needs that if you want to pass emissions.
