2002 Brand New 450 Glider. .purchased with 0 miles Imported by Panoz Company that was in business to convert them to electric drive. Company went belly up and I purchased from a dealer who bought 3 at auction.2002 Hayabusa with 3, 350 miles from Chewys Motorbikes inc in Chicago. Purchased the whole bike and had my shop break it downBrand new Conversion Kit from SINISTER SAND SPORT of Tulsa OK. Kit included (A, B and E) cost $15, 397 which also included a reverse gear. Kit configuration from shop has been updated. Custom Fenders were fabricated by the Artisans of BODY WORKS ON GRAND located in Chicago.Wheels were imported from Germany directly from manufacturer LORINSER.

Perfect marriage of Motorcycle & Car. .This was the goal...We were able to integrate the HAYABUSAS instrument cluster to the dash along with the locking gas cap. We tried our best to meld the two together.The project all together took just over 1 1/2 years to complete...September 2014. Every one involved took great pride working on PROJECT SMARTACUS!!!!
Extremely fun to drive with tons of turkey necking to see where the sound is coming from whenthey hear the MOTO GUZZI EXHAUST notes.
SMARTACUS has entered 1 car show and the crowds around it surpassed the 5 Lamborghinis next to it. .Of course we took top honors. If you are a guy that likes entering shows...get ready to collect some HARDWARE.
There is only 1 SMARTACUS. ...Since completion less than 1000 miles have been enjoyed by me.It is stored every winter and has never left the Garage unless the weather was clear. As much as I enjoy walking into my Garage and looking at it, I simply don't drive it enough to justify keeping it. I have owned as many as 4 Smart cars at a time. .including Smartavator ( 1000cc GSX Motor) which I sold several years ago. I presently own another 2003 Smart Cabrio. .not ready to sell yet. .I have to continuesly own at least one of these.
The opportunity to own a HAYABUSA Smart Car doesn't come to often. this vehicle is something that you will not see again. Many people have contacted me for advice on building issues they are having or that they cant figure something out. I have yet to speak to anyone who has completed one. There just not out there. .My investment into this kept climbing to the tune of just under 45k, this does not include the countless hours doing research.
This was a grey market vehicle. ..NOW TITLED in ILLINOIS as a 2014 VIN # S0S312480ILL You should have no problem titling it in your state. .Illinois has 1 of the toughest standards for titling vehicles.
