2005 Lotus Elise. Original owner, car has 20, 900 miles. Sport Package, Touring Package, Hardtop and Quicksilver Exhaust system. (Original also included.)
Car is in fantastic condition, never tracked or driven hard. Selling only to pay for my kid's tuition. (Check my other listings, my beloved '59 F100 is up for sale too.)
Stuff you should know:
It's going to need rear tires eventually. They didn't have much tread to begin with, but they have less now. Figure a few thousand miles, unless you drive like a maniac. The fronts are ok.
The passenger interior door pull (the plastic pocket on the inside top edge of the door) has cracked and crumbled. It's super common. Ive already replaced the driver's side. I've got the part, just been too busy to mess with it.
The car has never been in any sort of collision, but twice I've dragged the lower edge of the front clamshell on the road pulling out of steep parking lots. (It's so low, and there is so much overhang on the front..) Both times the entire front clamshell was replaced. Also, the rear bumper cover was replaced after my buddy backed into it turning around in a dark driveway and put a small crack in it. All of the work was done by O'Steen's here in Jacksonville, they're the approved body shop for our local Lotus dealer and they do a lot of them. The paint was blended into the doors, you could never tell it was painted. Again, the car has never been in any sort of collision, just those minor cosmetic incidents.
More Stuff You Should Know:
This is my dream car. The Starlight Black paint is gorgeous. With all of the grills and scoops on the Elise, any other color looks weird and chopped up, but in black, all of that stuff blends into the car and looks like it belongs there. The 2005's are the best year for the Elise. From 2006 on, the cars are equipped with a Throttle By Wire/Traction Control system to keep folks from getting in way over their heads with the phenomenal power to weight ratio these cars have. 2005's are Old School, Cable Throttle. The car will do what your foot says, for better or for worse.
It's the Most Pure Thing You Will Ever Drive. It's as close to a living, breathing thing as any car will ever be.
The car is in great shape. All work has been done by the local Lotus dealer. It's completely stock, aside from the Quicksilver Exhaust. The Quicksilver is a nice piece; it's civilized and fairly quiet at part throttle, but screams like a sport bike from 6-8k RPMS. I have the stock exhaust too, and will include it with the car, along with a hardtop storage bag.
The car is located in Jacksonville FL, I will assist your shipper in properly loading the car. Payment is either cash in hand, wire transfer or certified check. if it's a check, it's going to have to clear your bank before the car leaves my house. Minimum bid is only $27, 500, there is no reserve.
