I've had this car for almost ten years so excuse this description for being so long, but I don't want to leave anything out. I bought this car back in 2007 from Windy City Motorsports in Illinois and had it shipped down with about 7, 500 miles on it bone stock. The car drives as good as new has been very well taken care of, only brought to licensed Lotus dealership and Euro Tech specialists. All paperwork of past maint., original handbook, manual, modifications included. The car has never been tracked or street raced, never dropped the clutch. In 2012 the car had 51k miles so only about 5k or so in the past four years. The arqray exhaust with race headers are a sound of beauty I haven't heard one better.
The only notable mechanical issues have been replacing the starter back in 2011, no engine issues other than that. The A/C cut out about 5 years ago, I've been quoted its the fuse issue that most 05 models have I've been quoted about $500-$800 to fix. I'm hoping someone will want to fix this on their own time that's car savvy or for a track car. My dealer recently had issues with the Cobra Alarm and had trouble solving it so he just disconnected it. Since then the ECU has been acting up mainly causing the Oil/Temperature Gauge sensor to not show up after a proper warm up. I have not been able to hit my 2nd CAM without this being fixed it will just redline me after 6, 000 RPM or so. I still have the original Cobra alarm confirmation certificate from the factory with the original code and instructions. I have only one key, no spare or fobs. Original manual, handbook, maint. records are all included as well.
The front clam was just completely replaced in 2014, I had a young driver accidentally reverse into me at a stop sign at only a few mph but still put a few small cracks and scuff marks across my front so I had their insurance completely replace it. I already had some small chips in it to begin with so it worked out pretty good. There is no star shield or clear bra on the front now. The remaining star shield (clear Bra) I have on the car completely cracked in the heat/humidity the side panels and rear rocker panels need to be replaced. The side panels themselves may need to be replaced due to the star shield being almost glued to the paint at this point. The rims are original and could use a new paint job. I just had on 08/01/17 the brake pads all replaced and rotors resurfaced despite some of the rust stains on them. The brake discs were replaced in 2012 only put roughly 4-5k miles on them. There's a crack under the driver rear wheel well in the fiberglass I got from a speed table a few years ago its not too bad.
Removed all the interior carpeting, sun visors and sound deadening foam from behind the seats for weight savings including the trunk lining. I really liked the look of the aluminum I think its very clean. The Hard Top interior lining was just completely redone a few months ago, looks great very similar to stock. I lost the 2 side pieces which velcro to the top and hide the bolts, not really necessary up to you how to cover it (should be pictured). I also cracked the DR side mirror washing it not too long ago that can be replaced for cheap. The body of the car itself is in great shape the paint is slightly cracking by the exhaust tip due to the heat but hard to see. There's two very small chips in the paint on each sides of the car by the door so four total. I pictured them both with some size comparison. I have carbon fiber front access panels on the car now as pictured but they are pretty old could be replaced or painted. There's one scratch on the hard top its very light but maybe 3 inches long or so. Another scratch by the engine cover maybe 2 inches long.
I have a carbon fiber hardtop and roll bar cover I will throw in to seal the deal if interested. The hard top has some pretty good hazing needs to be painted but other than that has only two small scratches great condition. Also have a Carbon Fiber engine cover that had some bubbling from the factory but actually looks pretty good on the car. I included some pictures of it on the car a few years ago.
Any questions about anything, anything at all! I will gladly answer I know there’s a lot, but at least you know what you're getting.
