Maserati Spyder GT (2005)
for sale
Price: US $17,499.00
Price: US $17,499.00
We recently relocated to KC from Philly and I am unloading a few toys to make room. Listed, I have a 2005 Maserati Spyder Coupe with a 4.3L 430 plus HP V8 engine and a 6-speed F1 Transmission. She has about 45K miles on it. Runs and drives great and is incredibly fast.
Overall body is good. A few scratches here and there, but no dents or dings. Previous owner put some road rash on the rims (see pics).
I am the second owner and have owned her for 5 years. I purchased her at auction. She is a flood recovery vehicle. This is the 8th flood recovery car I have purchased to date. My wife drives one too (lincoln)! It was fresh water and came up to just over the bottom seat. I rebuild auction cars that are flood recovery and theft recovery as a hobby so I am on to another project.
Previous owner was a retired fella from NY whom owned an insurance company.
Here is what has been completed:- New tires- New Clutch- New ignition PC and key lock (result of flood). I have original ignition and and keys from original owner- maserati and reprogram to original set if you would like)- All fluids changed- Seat motors replaced- Mirror Switch replaced- Main pulley replaced- BMC Air Filter (reusable)- New lambda sensors - front and rear- Convertible top switch- New heater switches for seats
Car runs and drives perfectly. She is insured, registered and titled.
Things that I have not leaned into due to timing, relo and conflicting projects:- Has a small oil leak, but does not effect performance, just leaks a few drops on the floor after driving- Needs a thermocoupler for Cat- Door speakers need to be replaced, I dont use since I listen to the Ferrari/Maserati Symphony- AC Bearings squeal a little when cold but goes away when warmed- Top - Temperamental. Has pin hole above passenger door. Not sure if it leaks as I do not driver her in the rain. Tops works up and down, but gets hung up sometimes due to middle elastic straps (Elastic straps on both sides do not pull back the second bow when the front is released. Solution: $12 of 3 wide elastic at the local fabric store and sew it into a 12 diameter loop. 98% of the convertible tops on the Maseratis and the 355 Ferrari have been that problem - Elastic dries up).
I will include with auction: Previous seats from which I used to pull motors and electronics from, new plenum gaskets, new alternator (does not need it but good backup), & misc other equipment. The car is for sale locally as well.
Thanks for looking and let me know if you have any questions.
