You are bidding on a used great condition awesome black 2005 Saab 9-3 Aero. This is the easier to maintain 4 cylinder which has the ECU remapped to Stage 1 by Mike S. in PA.
This means that you are getting around 250 HP and 270 ft lbs of torque (not dynoed). This is around 45 HP and 50 ft lbs more torque than the normal Aero. (You can google this to find out more information about Saab ECU remapping.) I have driven the car for around 7k miles with no issues and with a huge smile on my face...as their is a huge difference between the normal Aero and at Stage 1.
I am an enthusist and have taken care of this Saab in the short time I have had it, around 8-9k miles. I have done 2 synthetic Mobile 1 oil changes with K&N oil filters. First oil change with BG 44K to clean out the fuel system, EPR to clean out the engine, then with MOA for oil treatment. Air filter has been changed. Also fixed up a lot of the car cosmetically to make it look nice. Though the car is dirty in the pictures, it shines up really nice when washed/waxed and looks great. Almost all marks on the car is just dirt that can be washed off.
I have replaced both boost modules as when I got the car as it was not boosting to the red line on the turbo gauge. Replace the throttle body with a used one with 86k miles because it was causing a check engine light and of course, the Stage 1 remap. During the remap, I have also had the daytime running light reprogrammed not to turn on at times...why have them on when it is sunny!
Fully loaded car with navigation, back up rear sensors, moon roof, etc. You can google the specs and features and ask me to be sure.
The car has custom 18 Lexani rims and came with the car when I got it. Tires are around 20k+ miles old and still good for some time.
Everything on this car works (except what is noted below) and it needs nothing!
I have made half dozen 4 hour trips up and down the East Coast and have never had an issue.
Comes with 2 electronic keys with new housings. (One of the key does not remotely unlock the doors but will start the engine as it was not present during the changing of the DRL program.) 2 uncut keys and 2 old cut keys. You can get the other key reprogram as well if you want to and Mike S. is extremely reasonable with his fee if you choose to use him...or others with Tech 2 in the Saab community.
NOTES:- There is around a 7 key scratch on the car when I got it but it did not bother me. Was going to do a DIY scratch fix as on Youtube but never go around to it. Image as shown.- Front bottom spoiler is bit scraped up when I got it and can be cleaned up. Image as shown.- One of the rear seat is scratched up as shown and can use a buffing. Image as shown.- Passenger side rear door lock sometimes does not lock/unlock. Need new actuator?- As with most all these cars with the cheap GM dash, the buttons on the climate control and stereo started pealing so I purchase these stickers off ebay from a EU seller to cover them up. Worked well but started bubbling due to weather but good enough. I see another full dashboard set for around $30 after rebate from a US seller that suppose to work better if you so desire to redo them. The automatic shift plate was also pealing so put a removable leatherette sticker on it to make it look nice. Covers up the gear lights but the indentions are traced and you can see it on your speedo to see you put it in gear. The full dashboard sticker set has this if you want to replace that as well. Search for Rdash Dash Kit for Saab 9-3 on ebay.- Tinted windows all around but passenger side looks a bit warped but nothing too distracting.- Time for a tire rotation for rear tires to switched with front.- Front drivers door plastic speaker grill is cracked. Have a better shape replacement that comes with car.
As you can see, I tried to be as detailed as possible. It is a used car at the end of the day so sold as-is without any warranty. If you have any questions, please email sooner rather than later and I will try to address them.
