I purchased this 2005 Subaru Impreza in November 2015, for a job which required a decent amount of car travel. I have since gotten a company vehicle and no longer need this car. It was and is well cared for. I purchased the vehicle with the intent to have it for a very long time and much work has been done to it.
It is an absolutely wonderful car. I wish I didn't have to get rid of it. I bought it with 78K miles on it and it now has 103K. The mileage will continue to rise, as I will drive it until I sell it. The dealer I bought the car from had the following completed before I purchased it:
-New brake pads and rotors
-New head gasket
-New water pump
-New upper and lower radiator hoses
-Replaced timing belt
-New gear shift cable assembly
Since then, I have had the following done to it by a Subaru dealership:
-Regular oil changes
- Full fuel induction system service
-Transmission flush
-Changed differential fluid in both differentials
-New spark plugs and wiring kit
-New gas tank filler neck, seals and gas cap
-New fuel pump gasket on top of fuel tank
-Addressed the 'open recall' listed on the CarFax
I have it washed regularly and have waxed it several times in the last year. It has a Consumer Reports best buy EverStart battery that is only one year old. All weather mats. The tires are about 50% worn and have another 25K-35K miles on them.
It drives great, has never been in an accident and gets a consistent 26 MPG on the highway as long as you don't hot rod. Hot rod, it will. It's spunky 2.5L engine winds up nicely and has great pickup off the line and exceptional pickup when passing on the highway. If you know Imprezas, you know the handling is second to none, it corners smooth and even and drives exceptionally well in the rain and snow.
