2007 Mini Cooper S Fully-Loaded in Like-New-Condition
Extremely clean with complete service history and original purchase information; this is a special vehicle with a story looking for the right future owner. Currently has 108, 000 miles on chassis and 53, 000 on motor (read bottom paragraph to learn more about that).
Car comes with a multitude of optional extras including: sparkling metallic silver paint. 3M Scotchgard paint protection film on hood, fenders, bumper and door edges. Leather seats in 'Gravity Tuscan Beige'. Cold Weather Package: including heated mirrors, headlight washer jets and 3-level heated front seats. Oil changes exclusively done with BMW Certified Liqui Moly full-synthetic oil. According to the manufacturer, this oil exceeds the strictest test requirements demanded by BMW. Fuel mileage has always been consistent with 34mpg city and up to 40mpg highway.
Unique to this car is the motor. In 2012 with roughly 55, 000 miles on the vehicle the motor gave out. According to Mini, this was due to a faulty chain tensioner which led to insufficiently tightened timing chain. Included in the service history is a letter from the Mini USA Customer Relations and Services Department detailing this problem. Unfortunately for the previous owner this letter came too late. He was unaware of the recalled part and surrendered the car to the shop as he did not want to front the bill for the new engine (under recall the motor would have been replaced for free). The shop had already purchased a new power-plant that was delivered on a pallet (with everything, even spark plugs installed). Fearful of a repeat situation, we took the car to Rassmussen Mini of Portland and had the new motor examined for the recalled part. Fortunately the dealership determined that tensioner 3 (the updated version) has been installed and that there is no further need of repair. All of this information is included in the service record. Additional recalled parts were replaced during the same service including some hose clamps, auxiliary water pump and turbo heat shield. Long story short, I want you to know we have done our due diligence and hopefully you see the proof of that if you took the time to read all this information (thank you for the interest by the way). The clutch and flywheel have also been replaced with OEM parts due to wear at 88, 950 miles in June of 2015 as well as the windshield in March of 2015 (information also included in service history). New front brake pads, rotors, and calipers in March, 2017. New 17 Niche Racing Premium Alloy Wheels purchased in March, 2017. Thank you again for taking the time to learn about our car.
