Beautiful condition 2008 Escalade ESV, I commute for work, so this truck only gets driven on the weekend. Exterior is in fantastic overall shape with only a few small dings for its age and some fading of the clear coat on the gloss black window trim. Paint is in excellent overall condition. The interior is in great shape as well.
Mechanically solid, 6.2 motor gets up and moves, shifts smooth. Interior had a few cosmetic issues for its age. There's a crack in the plastic dash cover, common for this vehicle. The front heated and cooled seats don't heat or cool, also common, but I've never bothered to fix them, I believe it's one of the seat heating pads that's needs to be replaced. The seats show some wear, but aren't cracked or ripped. Overall great shape, and rides like a Cadillac.
I believe in full disclosure, so I'll put this out there even it's never been an issue for me. The transmission shifts smooth, but there is what I would consider to be slack in the drivetrain somewhere. I've check ujoints/transfercase fluid/trans fluid and everything in between. It will on rare occasions make a clunk when your slowing down and then get back on the throttle. I've towed a 6k LB trailer several times with no issues. I have scoured the internet forums and spoke to other owners. The common concensus seems to be the transfer case having loose tolerances from the factory. Cadillac says it's normal and has no effect on the reliability of the vehicle.
Registration is current, Title in hand. Recently smogged a few weeks ago.
