I am a car guy for over 40 years and have owned over 50 cars since I was 16, but have never owned a car like this. This is my 2nd XJR (as I lost the first to a tractor trailer that rear ended me on the highway) Both cars have made me very happy. I never thought that I would have to part with it, but certain circumstances are forcing me to sell it. I actually grew to love this car and still look for every opportunity to drive it. It is and has been a Non-Smoker’s car.
It is absolutely gorgeous and attracts the attention of many. It turns heads at every stop light. Almost every time I drive it, I get the thumbs up or am told “that car is beautiful” It drives like new and handles the highway very well. It has every option you could possibly want, except 4 wheel drive!
2008 was the first year of the new body design and acclaimed Aluminum Lightweight Monocoque Body. It is powered by a 4.2 liter Supercharged V8 engine and a 6 Speed drive train with sport mode option. The car puts out 400 Horsepower but gets excellent gas mileage at about 24mpg. Both the engine and transmission are smooth and strong.
The car has a set of Jaguar Factory 20 inch aluminum rims.
They do have a few scratches here and there from my lovely wife!
The exterior still has the Luster of a new car and the leather seats are in terrific condition.
The Ebony & Charcoal color combo is very pleasing to the eye and extremely desirable.
The entertainment system is amazing. It is a Jaguar factory installed twin screen, headrest installed setup which was a $2, 950.00 option.The sticker price of this car was over $92, 000.00 in 2008.
