Up for auction is my 2008 Land Rover Range Rover Supercharged. This vehicle is in great condition and comes fully loaded with all available options for this year. It has been in our family for several years but we just had another baby and need more room so our loss is your gain. Most everyone who is considering a Range Rover knows how luxurious this vehicle is, but I wanted to cover a few specifics:
ENGINE:
4.2L V8 Supercharged producing 400hp at 5, 750 RPM and 420 pound-feet of torque. This is mated to a six-speed transmission. This was a $15, 000 option at the time. There are no engine oil leaks, and it has always had Mobil 1 full synthetic for oil changes. This is an excellent engine!
BODY:
No dents or crashes, has never been involved in an accident. There are two minor scuffs on the rear bumper. One is on the left and the other on the right, both can be seen on the pictures. Since this is the supercharged body it has dual chrome exhaust tips as well as the supercharged grills. This also has a hitch for towing.
SUSPENSION:
This has the legendary Land Rover air suspension that works great. Great for off-roading though I have never taken this off-road. You will immediately notice how quiet and comfortable the ride is.
HEADLIGHTS:
This has the bi-xenon lights and they automatically move left and right depending on the steering wheel angle.
BRAKES/TIRES/WHEELS:
The supercharged trim model comes with upgraded Brembo brakes. You can really feel the stopping power. The tires are 355/50 R20 Bridgestone Duelers with about 85% treat left. The 20-inch rims have a few minor scuffs from around town, but nothing too major.
RUST:
This vehicle has always been garaged and very much babied, no rust anywhere on the body. It is in excellent shape, as you would expect with a Range Rover.
HEATED COMFORT:
Heated and automatically dimming mirrors. Heated windshield works great for melting snow off the front windshield. The front seats are heated and cooled. The steering wheel is heated and works great. Travel in absolute luxury in this Range Rover.
NAVIGATION:
Built-in navigation with voice recognition.
ENTERTAINMENT CENTER:
This has the premium Harmon-Kardon speaker with subwoofer package. It also has Logic 7 for great sound. It has a CD changer and can play DVDs. It comes with two sets of infrared headphones. It also has Sirius satellite radio. This also connects to your phone via Bluetooth for hands-free communications.
LAND ROVER OFF-ROAD:
Land Rovers are known for their off-road prowess. It comes with the terrain response system, just choose the condition you want to conquer and it will figure out the rest. It also has the Hill Descent Control to help navigate down mountains safely. Of course it has traction control and anti-lock brakes. We did no off-roading with this, just driving around town and picking up the kids from school.
