Everything works all you need to do is add a motor, transmission, and fuel tank. We've dropped the price to $2, 499 to get rid of them quickly by end of year - a huge savings, way under the original price of $17, 000 they cost new and the liquidators price of $3, 500. We bought the last supply of these truck from an electric truck liquidation sale in Southern California last year. Please do your own homework, but we got California permission to build as specially constructed vehicle with powertrain as electric (minor inspection) or gas (smog referee inspection). We have almost completed one with electric powertrain and can refer you to the fabricator that did the work for motor mounts, transmission, etc. Sorry, we are keeping the electric one :).
These are high quality truck chassis by Ssangyong and Mercedes. SsangYong Motor Company is the fourth largest South Korea-based automobile manufacturer aimed at the Asian and European markets. SsangYong incorporates Mercedes drivetrains into their vehicle lineup with an eye for quality to compete with Japanese automobile companies.The vehicles I'm selling were on their way from the assembly line to the drivetrain division in California. They were pulled prior to final assembly for an electric drivetrain conversion which you can finish or choose to continue the gas or diesel power plan.

Worldwide, this glider would have had a Mercedes 2.0TD, a four cylinder turbo diesel motor mated with an automatic transmission. These were brought here to America for a electric motor powertrain, but the alternative propulsion conversion company later chose a much larger vehicle platform instead. Therefore this strategic move has released the remaining Ssangyong gliders for liquidation.

On road it impressed with a very refined manner at highway speeds. Ride is well above ute standards thanks to a five-link coil-sprung rear axle --passenger car technology until a few years ago. There's none of the unladen tail-happiness that afflicts many other utes and although it gets jiggly and a little noisy over broken bitumen there's no effect on directional stability. In some competitors the driver would be working the wheel like Ari Vatanen just to keep in a straight line.
