It is with a heavy heart we sell our baby, Big Ed.
He has been part of our lives since he came off the Ford factory assembly line in the summer of 2009, and I thought we would forever keep him. However we cannot always plan for life, and my health has made it necessary to sell him. By listing him on e-bay, I hope Big Ed finds a new home with an owner that will love him as much as my husband and I have, hard to match as that love may be.
Big Ed was my primary daily driver until late in 2010, when we bought another vehicle. After that, he has primarily been our vacation ride, taking us on beautiful roadtrips across our country.
Throughout all this time, he has been lovingly cared for by our local Ford Dealer, which is also a Saleen specialist shop. We have also had him professionally detailed from day one.
Big Ed has aftermarket parts. We installed a throatier exhaust, it is Ford Brand, made specifically for the 2010 Shelby. We also upgraded the tires, to Z rated Michelins (F: 255/40 R: 285/35 ZR19), and put louvers on the rear side windows.
Title is free and clear, and in our possession.
As we purchased Big Ed to enjoy him, he has 37, 539 miles on him. As a result, even though he has a Duratain Polyurethane coat, there are small nicks in the paint, especially on the front bumper. We have been able to buff them out for the most part, and Big Ed should still steal both hearts and trophies at a show. The worst damage has been to the painted wheels, which have nicks and some scrapes. We have had them repainted twice, for about $140 each time. Current pics of each wheel is included.
The entertainment controls on the steering wheel has some wear. Close-up picture is included.
In the fall of 2015, Big Ed was in an accident. We were stopped at a light, and the person behind us was busy fumbling with the radio. He hit us, going about the 25 mph speed limit, just as we started moving forward. There was no damage except a small dent to the bumper. We took the car to our Ford Dealer's partner body-shop, which replaced the bumper and rear tape stripe. Repair records along with contact information for the shop will be provided to buyer for peace of mind.
Big Ed is current on all service, performed by a local expert shop. Service slip will be provided to buyer, which will also give access to full service history.
He comes with the following items:
Car cover, original factory exhaust kit (if desired), (you pick up or will be shipped separately for separate charge), wheel locks, Ford Shelby signed certificate of authenticity (he is #196 of only 845 manufactured in black), original window sticker, and owners manuals.
This car has been amazing, and we both are sure the next owner(s) will absolutely love him as much as we have.
Shipping is via pickup at arranged local location (free), however we can also arrange to meet you within a reasonable distance, or drive him to a freight forwarder of your choice--provided it is within reasonable distance. After that, shipping is buyer's responsibility.
