Maintenance History
The vehicle
currently has 60, 278 miles as of 6/6/2017. The car is currently sitting in my driveway with a car cover until it is sold. I bought the car brand new 3/1/2012 with 175 miles on the odometer. Since I bought the car, I have performed oil
changes every 3, 000 miles per the manufacturer’s severe maintenance schedule until
it reached 21, 000 miles on 7/28/2014. After that, I performed oil changes every 5, 000 miles per the
manufacturer’s regular maintenance schedule until the 60, 000 mile maintenance. This
is because my work commute changed from 10 miles round trip (city miles) to 55
miles round trip (highway miles) – more total miles driven, but less wear and
tear on the car. On top of this, I had
the 30, 000 mile and 60, 000 miles service done on the vehicle per the
manufacturer’s recommendations. An
exterior detail has been done annually to maintain the clear coat of the
vehicle. I have all the service records
from my mechanic (A&H Motorsport in Warminster PA) for the maintenance I did
not perform myself.
Significant Maintenance
6/1/2017 (60, 138
miles on odometer) – 60, 000 mile service and exterior detail done.1/25/2017 (55, 596
miles on the odometer) – All 4 tires replaced with 245/40R-18 Sumitomo HTR A/S
P02 tires with mounting and balancing plus a state/emission inspection.11/16/2014
(24, 818 miles on the odometer) – Replaced all 4 brake pads with StopTech brake pads
Performance Modifications
The only performance
modification I did to the vehicle was to install an aftermarket exhaust with a
tune on 4/23/2015. This was done at CBRD
Speedfactory in York PA – Reputable shop known for tuning Evos. The exhaust installed is an Invidia Q300 cat-back
exhaust system with titanium rolled tips. The vehicle was put on a dyno and tuned to 314 wheel horse-power with
307 foot-pounds of torque. According to the
owner of the shop (Chad Block), stock Mitsubishi Evolution Xs usually dyno at
220 wheel horse-power with their low-reading mustang dyno. This is about a 94 horse-power increase from
stock with just a cat-back exhaust and tune. Other than that, the vehicle is completely stock.

“1) The brakes pulsate when applied because the vehicle has been sitting on my driveway for a one month. This is because the weather caused some rust to build up around the rotor leaving the section under the brake caliper rust-free. Because of the rotor unevenness, the brakes pulsate when pressed. 2) There is a service engine light due to a faulty O2 sensor. This will have to be changed before the next state inspection. 3) There are some slight scratches/dings on the wheels.” |
