General Terms
Pennsylvania residents are responsible for state sales tax at the time of purchase. Pennsylvania state sales tax is 6%, except in Allegheny County which is 7% and Philadelphia County where the total sales tax is 8%. Out-of-state buyers are responsible for sales tax at the time of registration at their local DMV. Out-of-state buyers may check with local DMV to inquire about specific fees. At the time of purchase the customer will be responsible for a documentation fee of $138.00, on online registration fee of $10.00, new registration fee of $36.00 or $9.00 if transferring a plate/registration, title fee of $51.00, and an encumbrance fee of $24.00. If a new license plate or in-transit tag is needed, there is an additional $28.00 cost. Truck registration varies, please contact one of our sales staff for specific registration fee. Any sales forbidden by law in the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania or in the home jurisdiction of the buyer shall be deemed null and void, and any deposit paid shall be returned to the buyer.
Blue Knob Auto Sales ('Blue Knob') is a licensed independent Pennsylvania auto dealer. This vehicle is also for sale locally and on our website. We reserve the right to end the auction at any time due to on-site sales without liability to any auction participants. We retail vehicles to the public only. We will no sell to dealers, fleet companies, rental companies or wholesalers.
Deposit: Deposit of $600 must be paid within 24 hours of auction close and is non-refundable, unless the vehicle has been misrepresented or if the vehicle fails a professional on-site inspection. $500. of the deposit will immediately be applied to the cost of the vehicle, $17.70 will be applied to PayPal fee's and the remaider will be applied toward the cost of overnight mailing of titles and paperwork where necessary. If overnight mailing is not required the remainder of the deposit will be applied to the vehicle. Deposits of vehicles not purchased are applied toward the significant costs of paperwork and title production, vehicle relisting fees, and lost dealership productivity. Deposits will be accepted through PayPal. In the event that buyer does not pay the deposit in the 24 hour window, Blue Knob, at it's sole dicretion, may cancel the sale. Payment: Items will not be available for pickup or shipping until full payment is received and cleared by our local bank. Full payment is required within 7 days of auction close. Warranty: Unless stated otherwise, the vehicle is being sold 'as is'. Manufacturer's warranties may still apply. The full terms of the warranty covering this vehicle are available upon request. Blue Knob also provides you the option to purchase an extended service contract, price and terms will vary based on vehicle year, make and model. Financing: We work with 5 different banks to provide you the best possible interest rate and terms available. Please give us a call to discuss you options. Availability: We reserve the right to remove this listing due to on-site sales without liability of any kind to auction participants. All vehicles are located at our Duncansville, Pennsylvania location and all title are on hand. Shipping: The winning bidder if fully responsible to pay for vehicle's shipping and shall bear the risk of loss during shipping. If necessary, Blue Knob may assist buyer with making such arrangements. Once the payment and paper work is completed, the vehicle will be make ready for shipping. Blue Knob will not ship any vehicle until full payment and all required paperwork has been completed and Blue Knob has received it.
