We are Adaptive Mobility Systems, inc in Tucker Georgia and we have built over 6000 private labeled lowered floor handicap vans since 1999 for AMS. Suffice it to say, we know Caravans intimately, but some people in wheelchairs just do not fit into a minivan. ...This is why we have built the Maxvan. Maxvan is just 19 feet long and will park in any parking space. This van has 6'4 stand up height inside. 80 wide and 10' behind front seats, it only weighs the same as our side entry minivan. .so it still gets 20 mpg on regular gasoline. And with it's large 6'X4' rear door, it is easy to enter and exit with only a 16 step-up height.
This particular model is called the HandiTraveler +. It is equipped with a fold down, nonskid ramp that is 30 wide and slides sideways out of doorway when not in use. There is massive room for any size wheelchair in the forward right-hand side with a comfortable armchair seat for your attendant beside you. Just behind is a curtain that pulls completely across van giving privacy to the toilet and fold-down changing bed in the rear of this van. With this set up you can go traveling. .Also equipped with TV with built in DVD player and turbo roof exhaust fan. This vans walls are structurally foamed for strength and fantastic R factor. The rear heat and AC unit will keep you very comfortable in any weather. This is a brand new conversion on a lightly used 2015 van that will give you many years of service and rides like a dream.
