Reason for sale:
36-month lease term ending. I barely drive, ever: daycare is 2 mi away, and work is like 4-5 mi away. But an ultra-low mileage lease was not an option.
Cosmetic damage:
None other than normal wear and tear to the paint -- please see high-resolution photos and closeups. I can provide a copy of the AutoVIN end-of-lease vehicle inspection report detailing minimal wear and tear.
Repairs needed in future:
Please see the Mazda web site for details on active recall #9916H. In brief, the lift gate support struts may corrode, causing the struts to break and/or the lift gate to drop unexpectedly. Mazda dealers will replace both lift gate supports free of charge. However, I never bothered taking my car in for this recall notice because my car is kept in a heated garage and I had no concerns about possible corrosion. You can read more about this recall on the NHTSA web site as well.
I will provide a copy of the clean CarFax at the time of inspection and test drive.

Inspection & test drive:
Prior to initial inspection & test drive, all communication will occur through e-mail We will meet twice: once for the inspection, test drive, and negotiation; and once, if you are selected as the buyer, to complete the deal We will meet in Brookline MA at a place of my choosing, so that you can inspect the vehicle and take it for a test drive You will provide me with your driver's license and proof of insurance so that I can take a photograph of it. You will also provide a second form of identification (e.g., military ID, MA registration card, bank or utility statement less than 60 days old matching the address on your driver's license, current insurance policy matching the address on your driver's license, etc) that I will photograph as well.I will not accompany you on the test drive The test drive will last no more than 30 minutes. If you do not return within the expected time interval, the vehicle will be reported to the police as stolen.
