Description:

WHAT ARE YOU LOOKING AT:
A super clean, well built, Steel Silver 2015 FR-S. CarFax is pristine with no accidents or issues whatsoever. Two owners. Original owner lived in SoCal and is in his late 20s. He's a male nurse and a really nice guy that bought a 2016 Subaru STI as a new project car. I flew to SoCal from Kansas City, paid the man cash in person, and then drove it home. The car has been garaged it's whole life. The car has never been thru an auction or spent time at a dealership other than when it was brand new at the Toyota dealership. Mr. Vu had the Jackson Supercharger, clutch, injectors, flex fuel kit and fuel pump installed and conservatively tuned by Zack and Bill at Delicious Tuning, arguably the premier FT86 chassis tuners in the USA. I'm 35 years old and have been a car fanatic since I was a child. I was a Silver Level Honda Technician for a few years out of high school so wrenching on cars is nothing new to me. I've babied the car the past six months I've had it and added a few thousand more dollars of tasteful mods. Title is clear and in hand. The car was built right, tuned properly and owned by two grown ups. The mileage is just over 35, 000 at the moment. I'm still going to drive it here and there on nice days, but it's not my daily so mileage won't go up much, if at all.
WARRANTY:
It's technically under factory warranty for just under another 1000 miles. The driveline has been heavily modified so that warranty is obviously voided, however, the body is still covered. If a window motor breaks, head unit goes out, etc, you'd be covered.
THE $15, 000+ IN MODS:
I'm sure I'll forget some things but here's a somewhat complete list of the mods...
Installed at ~18, 000 miles by the first owner:
Jackson c38 Supercharger kit with high boost pulley upgrade
Tomei catless UEL header
Delicious Tuning Flex Fuel kit
DW 700/300 injectorsDelicious Tuning 4 Bar MAP sensor
DW fuel pump
SouthBend Stage 3 street clutch
Rexspeed Carbon lip, side, bumper kit
Tint. 35% front windows/20% rear
Sliding Toyota armrest
Installed at ~33, 000 miles by me:
Tein Flex Z coilovers
Enkei RPF1 17x9 wheels. Gunmetal. Forged aluminum Moteki Black lugs
Bridgestone G Force tires. 245/40r17
IRP short throw shifter and MTEC shift springs. INCREDIBLY short, precise shifts!
Motul 300 fluid in tranny and rear diff
Perrin 2.5 catback exhaust
Optima Yellow Top battery
P3 multi gauge. Driver's side vent mounted
Clutch pedal helper spring removal mod
I have a full Forester XT oil cooler kit but I haven't installed it yet but it'll be installed for you
The car runs great. I've been keeping an eye on oil temps and there's no issues with basic daily driving. I bought the XT oil cooler because I haven't had it in 100+ degree midwest weather yet, but I wanted to be prepared. The boost levels, coolant temps, AFR... it all looks good from the gauge so there are no suspected issues.
The car has a Flex Fuel kit and is tuned to use anything from 91 CA piss gas to E85. Put whatever you want in it and the ECU will automatically adjust to it. It dynoed at Delicious at 293whp on E60 on a Mustang Dyno. E85 is probably in the 320whp range, nearly DOUBLE the factory wheel horsepower! At ~2800lbs, with close to 400 crank horsepower, this thing effortlessly spanks V8 Camaros, Challengers, Mustangs, etc on the highway.
FULL DISCLOSURE:
It has the typical FT86 hard 1 -> 2 shift when the transmission is cold. I always start out in 2nd gear anyway with the added torque. 1st gear is basically useless with all the extra power. Also, the syncros in 4th gear are starting to wear out. If you're cruising around town it drives perfectly. If you run it hard thru third gear and try to slam it into 4th, you'll get a small grind since the syncros haven't had time line up. Run it hard thru 3rd, pause a second before 4th, it works fine. The car can go coast to coast as is with no issues as is, but if you run the crud out of it you'll be needing to address the transmission at some point. I've been skipping from 3rd to 5th to keep wear off of 4th, because torque.
There's a tiny ding on the passenger front fender. I tried to get a picture of it. The paint isn't cracked. I'm sure a paintless dent guy could fix it for less than $100. I didn't even notice it when I bought the car, but I want to be as honest as possible. There's a few rock chips and minor scuffs in the front fascia.
WHAT DOES IT NEED?
It needs an alignment. The coilovers went on and I tinkered with ride height for a while then decided to sell the car. I figured I wouldn't waste the money on an alignment in case the next owner wanted it lower, higher, more aggressive camber, whatever. It's been on the new tires with about an inch drop from factory for maybe 500 miles.
It will eventually need another factory throw away transmission or an upgraded transmission of some sort. Factory trannies can be found online for around $500 and can be swapped out in a few hours by yourself or most shade tree mechanics. It's a REALLY easy swap as far as transmission swaps go. People do them on their garage floors. My low start price takes this extra ~$1000 total expense into account. As for upgraded transmissions, Jack's Transmission does a mean rebuild of the stock tranny. Full Blown Motorsports has a Supra transmission swap kit. Spencer Fab is working on a T5 Mustang transmission swap. Velox has a gear set. There's options out there. The stock transmission isn't cut out for this much power so keep in mind it'll need attention down the line. You could keep swapping $500 Craigslist stock trannies in, but when the time comes, I'd put the money into a proper build and forget about it.
With a built bottom end, smaller pulley, tune and transmission, you'd probably be close to $30, 000 total investment, but you'd have a RELIABLE monster/sleeper that will hang with Vettes, 911 GT3s, M3s, Z28s, etc. This car is well on it's way to being something special, I simply don't have the desire to finish it off. I have two little girls still in car seats and want to get something a little bigger so they can go to cruises and car shows with dad.
WHAT ELSE IS INCLUDED:
Factory exhaust manifold(can install and flash 50 state legal CARB tune for licensing/inspection)
Axle back exhaust(no mid pipe) with the 2015+ Big Tips
Factory injectorsFactory fuel pumpStandard size Jackson blower pulley
EcuTek setup with cable, dongle, license. Everything you need to tune the car
Stock shifter setup
Copy of Dyno sheet from Delicious Tuning
Copy of Clean Carfax
Two keyless entry keys and the valet key
Stock shocks and springsOwners manualMost of the receipts since new
I have the stock wheels and tires but don't know how you'd get them home unless you are a local buyer...
As it sits, this is a clean history, well documented two year old car with approximately $45, 000 total invested from new. $21, 000 is a no haggle, more than fair price. People are asking more for 2013 models with more miles and less power.
USE THE BUY IT NOW:I'll include the following:* Brand new Velox AOS air oil separator setup(drain back and coolant kit included) * New Full Blown Motorsports cast aluminum high capacity oil pan with Fumoto drain plug. * 12 quarts of Eneos 5w30 synthetic oil that's ideal for ethanol* 2 unopened gallons of Subaru SuperBlue coolant
That's another ~$900 of worthwhile, high end stuff.
With the XT cooler and larger oil pan, oil temps should be rock solid unless you're doing extended track sessions. An air type oil cooler is warranted for that kind of abuse. I do have all items listed above for sale on my local KC FT86 Facebook group so whatever sells, is not included with the Ebay sale.
PAYMENT:
$500 deposit via PayPal. For full payment, I want either a bank to bank wire transfer, or fly in to KC with a cashier's check from your bank and we deposit it in person. I'm willing to meet you somewhere within a few hours around KC, but I want to do the transaction at a Commerce Bank branch to get an immediate thumbs up on deposit of funds. I'll be glad to help out with dropping the car off at a local shipping company if you want to arrange it and go the sight unseen, shipping route. I've been as transparent as possible so there won't be any surprises if you go sight unseen.
Be aware that my price is a bit higher than book value due to the amount of mods. Make sure you have the extra money in cash if you bid or Buy it Now. A bank probably won't give you the full purchase amount.
Good luck! Be thorough! Ask me whatever you want and I'll be sure to answer promptly. I've been as honest and transparent as possible, but I'm sure there's more you want to know.
