Vehicle Description: Coinciding with an update that spans the entire range of Range Rover Sport for 2016. Land Rover is adding a new model to the baby Rover mix, in between the entry-level Range Rover Sport and the Beastly V8 Supercharged Model. Dubbed the Range Rover Sport HST Limited Edition, it comes with a more powerful version of the base Sports supercharged V-6, plus a host of unique features and options, and is making its big debut at the 2015 New York Auto Show. The idea is to nip at the spicier versions of the BMW X5 and Porsche Cayenne. With 380 horsepower on tap, the HST is 40-hp stronger than the base Sportand still quite far away from the Supercharged models 510 ponies. Even so, its a compelling proposition, especially once you realize you maybe dont need a luxury SUV that can hit 60 in 4.6 seconds and take the time to peruse the HSTs particulars. Besides the more powerful engine, the HST also gets a contrasting black roof, gloss-black exterior trim, dark headlight and taillight bezels, and dark-finished 21-inch wheels. The suspension and brakes have been upgraded, and the latter feature red BREMBO calipers that match the red Sport badges in the fender vents and on the tailgate. There are restyled front and rear fascias, too, and while the whole thing doesnt exactly scream Range Rover Sport SVR! it speaks its own sporty language, and it speaks it well. Land Rover also turns up the wattage inside the Range Rover Sport HST, where it slathered everything in either Ebony or Oxford leather. There are sport pedals, as well as aluminum trim with a sport finish. HST lettering adorns the floor mats and appears in the digital TFT gauge-cluster display theres also an HST badge on the dashboard, just in case you need a further reminder of what car youre in.
