Audio system was upgraded to a premium unit which includes a JVC double din touch screen w/ remote control. All speakers were replaced with POLK DXI speakers w/ indoor tweeters, and powered by a 1200W Kenwood 5 Channel Amplifier (KAC-7005PS)
Overall, excellent condition for a 13 year old car. Leather interior is still in like new condition. The exterior is in very good to excellent condition with some spots showing age and wear. There are two (2) issues 1 - the engine light is on for the a cylinder (the 3rd cylinder) misfiring (NOTE: It doesn't impact driving at all) and the hood latch locks up sometimes so it's hard to close all the way on the first try. A non-issue is that I never got AM working on the radio, I meant to but never did.
With winter approaching, know that this car handles very well in the slush and snow.
This MDX will make a very good and very safe car for the family or as a first car for a new driver. May not be a Lexus but put a bow on it and surprise a new driver for Christmas!
Why am I selling? This hurts me to sell, I really liked this car. I went up to Syracuse to get it. I felt very safe driving it. It handles better than most cars and is great for driving in the snow. I'm selling because I found a deal on a brand new honda which was too good to pass up AND it came AFTER I replaced the transmission. I gave this car a lot of care, if I owned a drive way (garage) I would save it but I can't afford to keep this car parked on the street. So it's time to move on.
Will I ship the car? You are 100% responsible for arranging it and anything else.
How will you save money? Any MDX on the market near the 100k mark will need a new timing belt and water pump. OEM transmissions on MDX's were problematic and costly (ranging from $3k to $5k for parts, labor, tax) and wear and age will rust any muffler and exhaust system. Here you will save the hassle of these expensive car care costs by purchasing this vehicle. I sold one car on eBay before and that seller was very happy with my communication, honesty, and how I picked him up from the airport so he could drive my then Honda Element home :-)
