Price: US $11,900.00
I actually bought this car 2 years ago off of Ebay. I had never done it before and was terrified, but it ended up with a great car from a very honest seller and will only buy cars this way moving forward. The only reason I am selling it is that I needed to buy a truck for work and can't keep both. I've owned a bunch of cars over the years and this one is by far my favorite.
As I said, it has been my daily driver for the past 2 years. It had approx 19, 000 on it when I bought it and is just shy of 44, 000 now. Please pay very close attention to the following details. I don't want anyone bidding that isn't completely informed of the specifics with the car.
I purchased the car after it had been rebuilt after a single car accident in 2013. I have the carfax that shows when it was wrecked and some brief details about the wreck. I spoke to the garage that repaired the car, reviewed a good 50 pictures at the time and had them walk me though what had happened, how bad the damage actually was and what they did to repair it. The driver hit a wall at an angle on the drivers side front. There was no damage to the frame, but the quarter panel, hood, front bumper and drivers side fire wall had to be replaced as well as a few minor engine components. They did not feel the car should have been deemed totaled and given a salvage title, but I guess the insurance company felt differently. He assured me that it drove like new and he was not lying. 5 minutes after receiving the car I knew I was going to get 50 speeding tickets.
The car has ALOT of power and handles really well. I just had the oil changed at the end of October. I only use synthetic blends so it still has 4000+ miles before it will need changing again. I had new tires put on 1 year(ish) ago. I kept the rear tires as they still had plenty of life left (1 had to be plugged because I picked up a nail). I'll throw them in the trunk if you are the winning bidder so you can use them. I let my son drive it once so in one of the pics you can clearly see some curb love scratches on the drivers side rear wheel. I only notice it if I'm looking for it, but it is noticeable for sure. It doesn't effect the car at all other than aesthetics.
There are no dings or dents on the car, however, as you can see in the pictures there are a few spots that I've had to to touch up with auto paint (I got from the Acura dealership) due to a few pebbles bouncing up here and there. That is one thing that I don't love about the Acura's, the paint seems to chip instead of scratch. They aren't big chips by any any means, but enough to recover some cosmetic covering. The interior is flawless. Black leather with heated seats. It does not have the navigation package, but it does have tilt, cruise, AM/FM/XM, built-in garage door opener buttons (programmable), Bluetooth for phone and music, etc. It has paddle shifters on the steering wheel in addition to the regular knob shifter. The knob handle does show signs of wear, but not bad at all. The air blows ice cold and the heat will make you pass out. Both the driver and passanger side are separately programmable. The middle compartment in the back seat folds down to fit ski's or other long/thing things. The back seats themselves do not fold down, which has been really the only draw back for me. The car seats 5 comfortably. Edmunds shows the care gets 29 MPG highway and 20 city. I have averaged 22 MPG since owning the car so the estimate was pretty accurate. I do alot of highway driving so that helps.
The car is out of warranty and has a salvage title. You would never be able to tell that this car was rebuilt. It's straight as an arrow and drives great! It is not a brand new car. ..it shows normal signs of wear for a 4 year old vehicle, but it has been very well maintained by me. Oil changes have been done regularly at Pennsoil and I had the Acura dealership do a full inspection when I bought the car. 2 of the mechanics offered to buy it from me right then. Anyway, That please do not bid on the car if you aren't comfortable with the type of title. I have state-farm insurance and they gave me full coverage for it just as if it was a regular title, but I know not all insurance companies will cover a car with a salvage title. I would recommend contacting them before bidding.
I just looked up the Kelly Blue Book value of the vehicle as well. In good condition without a salvage title obviously, the blue book value is right at $18, 800 for sale to a private party. I'm listing the car at a starting price of $11, 900 with a BIN of $13, 900. If you do the BIN I will cover shipping within the US for a cost not to exceed $650. You can pick whatever transport company you want and just have them contact me for payment up to that amount. Anything over $650 will have to be covered by you. Although I'm happy to cover the cost, you will be full responsible for setting up shipping and receiving. If you don't do the BIN then you will have to cover the cost of shipping yourself, or pick it up.
Q&A - NO, I will not end the auction early and do a side deal.NO, I will not entertain any bids below $12, 900.YES, all sales are final so when you buy it, you own it. Everything I have listed above is 100% factual as you will see when you receive the car.NO, the undercarriage is not rusted at all. They have years of life left.Yes, the stereo ROCKS.Yes, the moon roof is power and works just fine. No leaks and the electronics have had no issues at all.Yes, if you do the BIN and want to pick it up yourself I will reduce the price by $650.YES, I have been an Ebay buyer and seller for over a decade. Please check my feedback rating so that you can bid with confidence that I am an honest person and that you will get what you paid for.NO, I will not drive 100-200 miles to meet you somewhere to avoid shipping costs. The car is close to Kansas City now. We are smack in the middle of the country so shipping shouldn't be too bad regardless of where you live.YES. I will accept PAYPAL or a Cashiers check only. A deposit of $1000.00 is due within 48 hours of the sale and is non refundable. The car ships as soon as full payment is received and shipping is lined up. I will make every effort on my end to ensure that there are no delays whatsoever on my end.
Please let me know if there are any unanswered question. I just had the car detailed and am keeping it in the garage until the sale is final so it will makes its way to all nice and shiny. Now just go and do the BIN and buy the car for your loved one for Christmas. You know you want to.
