Model Overview
The 2009 TSX is the Acura is powered by a DOHC all-aluminum 2.4L inline-4 with i-VTEC variable timing. It now delivers 201 hp at 7, 000 rpm and 172 ft-lb of torque at 4, 300 rpm. Power is delivered to the front wheels through a close-ratio 6-speed manual transmission. The car makes use of all its ponies quite sportily. The TSX's chassis has been stiffened and ride dynamics have improved, while at the same time the ride is quieter in the cabin. Additionally, the car's suspension utilizes new dual-mode dampers, which change automatically given road and driving conditions. Standard amenities across the TSX range are a leather-wrapped steering wheel with audio and cruise controls, leather seating with power adjustability for both driver and passenger, remote keyless entry, a premium 7-speaker CD stereo and iPod connectivity, dual-zone automatic climate control, Bluetooth connectivity, and power windows, locks, and mirrors. Standard safety equipment includes four-wheel antilock brakes, traction control and stability assist, a tire pressure monitoring system, and a sophisticated six-airbag system.
