1991 Alfa Romeo 164s project/driveable project with some needs
mileage indicated is what odometer shows but true mileage probably closer to 120k since odometer/speedometer over the last 1.5 - 2 years has worked only when he feels like it
the good:
runs, drives, and stops just fine, registered and insured, daily driver with some needs
both engine and transmission seem to be strong and in great health, new radiator ($500), have a stack of receipts
not so good:
needs clutch soon - driveable as-is but some clutch shudder when starting from stop
needs brakes very soon, at minimum front rotors and pads (brake pad light is on)
driver interior door handle does not work,
pretty heavy clear coat peeling on roof and trunk, front seat leather in (desperate) need of leather treatment
will NOT SMOG the car - selling as project - buyer will need to SMOG
front bumper got some damage when pulling out of a parking lot with a concrete bump stop pulling bumper
needs a radiator fan switch/resistor - has a manual override switch
NO Air Conditioning
heater core has developed small leak so currently bypassed
other
did timing belt, tensioner and H2O pump approx. 2.5 years ago
this has been my (almost) daily driver (have 2 other cars) for the last 2-3 years and has been 100% reliable but is now in need of some maintenance and cosmetics (oil changed regularly using high quality oil)
