Fair bidder warning- an opportunity like this will not arise again any time soon. A quick google search will illustrate how absolutely rare these automobiles are, especially in clean, driveable condition.
This specific car is the multitool of the automotive world, in terms of styling, performance, and condition alike. It's exquisite, refined lines were styled by the renowned designer Giorgetto Giugiaro at his Italdesign firm. Giugiaro was named car designer of the century in 1999, penning such works of art as the Lotus Espirit, BMW M1, Delorean DMC-12, Maserati Bora, and this Alfa Romeo GTV. As a result, this car is a perfect fit in any scene, from industrial urban rigidity to rolling countryside to competitive show. This is further accentuated by its marvelous engineering. The Alfa's rear mounted transmission, de Dion transaxle, inboard rear brakes and de Dion suspension create a driving experience that not only touts a flawlessly balanced 50/50 weight distribution but also superb handling characteristics. Before getting behind the wheel, I was surprised to hear of this body style's extensive racing pedigree; however, upon driving it, it is easy to understand how this car was at home in the rally and touring car scene. The GTV is an absolute pleasure to drive, and it's roaring exhaust and low curb height will have you feel like you're flying as you row through the gears. It also touts lush Italian quality; one of my favorite aspects of this car is the muted, subtle thud of the hood as it closes. It's the quintessential sound of a quality product, only proving the car's fantastic build quality and balance.
As I'd stated earlier, this car is also extremely versatile in terms of its condition. It's easily a streetable driver, but to leave it at that would be a waste of its potential. With its low original miles and the amount of original parts, this car is almost show ready, as it already turns heads when on the road. Furthermore, it's an excellent concours candidate. It stands as an excellent project for those that are wishing to enter the highest level of collector car competition without having to make substantial investments, nor repairs. I was told most of the car is original, including the paint. Finally, it is in fantastic shape to realize its track heritage, since its frame and components sit in great condition for its age. This design iteration comes with the favorable center console mounted gauges, adding to the sport spirit of the car. You'll feel like a racer while sitting in it's cockpit, even in the parking lot.
If you wish to be behind the wheel of this superb automotive package, it is better to act sooner than later; the majority of these cars have all rusted or been parted out; lucky for you, I'm entering the Navy, and need this car gone before I go. I deeply hate to see it go, but this car is deserving of a more engaged and attentive owner (I sincerely ask that you give the car a good home). If you have to have it as I did, hit the $15, 500 buy it now button; I'll work with you to have it your way as soon as possible. Contact me at 302-312-9955 with any questions or concerns; I want you to be comfortable with your purchase. Will assist buyer with transportation or shipping arrangements if possible.
Would appreciate car being picked up on or before July 11th, 2016. However, it is not absolutely necessary (but why wait to have this rare, gorgeous piece of automotive history in your life?)

“Despite the fact that this car is 40 years old, it's still in gorgeous condition. Car is presently a stunning "10-footer," as is shown in pictures. Could be driven and shown now, or as a light project could easily become a concours level car. Because of it's many original parts, car suffers defects including: minor rust spots on trunk lid, in engine bay, and on windshield frame; small tears on seats, mostly along seams; and inoperable headlights, most likely due to a bad switch. Fuel gauge is inoperable. Car has new rubber on all four corners. I'm commissioning in the Navy shortly, and need to sell. Please see pictures for more detail. Car is sold as is with no warranty or guarantee, explicit or implied.”
