Price: US $22,000.00
After nearly 10 years it is time to move on to my next project. Up for sale is a well cared for and spec'd Stepnose GTV. The car was originally style by famed automotive designer Giorgetto Giugiaro and still looks remarkable some 50 years later. My car started life as a tame 1600cc metallic blue over blue GTV. Starting in 1997 with the previous owner it was transformed into a resto-modded, GTA-inspired track day car. Following in the PO's foot steps, I focused on the fundamentals first and once the brakes and suspension had been thoroughly upgraded attention eventually turned to cosmetics. In late 2013 I decided to tackle paint, seals, and interior. The car was repainted inside an out in period correct Alfa Romeo colors Medium Blue (AR323) with nose in Rosso Amaranto (AR509) with the interior redone in burgundy vinyl.
I have all the car's receipts back to 1997. The majority of the work on the car has been performed by reputable Southern California Alfa shops Alfa Performance Connection, Santo's Italian, Alfa Milano, and John's Alfa Romance. Here is a run down of the big ticket items under my ownership.

“The car is in good condition given its age but there are a few flaws. The driver's window has some fine lines etched into the outside surface, the windshield wipers spindles are missing the body nuts, the exterior passenger handle does not open the door (the tab that opens the door latch broke off), the tires rub due to the wheel offset being ~7mm off (22mm vs 29mm needed for the earlier cars), the glove box latches poorly and will sometimes open under hard acceleration, the valve seats will need replacement in the next year or two depending on use.” |
