One Very Rusty and Very RARE, Non-Running, with missing engine(not included but may still be available for an extra cost), 1974 Alfa Romeo GTV, manufactured in 06-74. This is possibly, and very likely, one of the last 50-100 GTV, GT Voloce models produced for the USA market. This car is for Restoration or For Donor Parts! A Full Restoration is possible and may be economically feasible at todays higher resale prices. I risk to say that Many of today's $30k to $50K Alfa GTVs currently for sale on eBay were not in too much better condition a few years ago prior to their restorations! These cars are rarer than the Spiders because so many of these GTVs were lost to rust!!
This Auction is for a 2-Owner Alfa Romeo with 82, 749 actual miles, produced very late in June of 1974. This is the Alfa Romeo GTV or GT Veloce, also known as the Giulia Sprint, 2-Door Coupe. It is available as a parts car or for a full blown restoration project for the talented and very very energetic!!!! Please forgive me for not having the time to at least wash and clean up this Alfa (toss out the nuts the squirrels deposited in it), clear off the dirt and leaves from the recesses of the engine compartment, the interior and trunk, but I was needing storage room immediately and decided to Wholesale it quickly! This car would have sold in this country as a SPICA Fuel Injected variety to pass emission standards in late 1974. Although this car is Non-Running, Missing it's Engine and radiator and is in Very Rough condition and has some Structural Rust Issues, (but all the panels are now available, see the last 6-8 photos of this 100 photo spread to see the current possibilities), it appears to be a very straight car and never in a serious accident. England and Europe really value the rarity of these cars and spend crazy money on these restoration projects to Preserve the Marque! As these particular car models have seen some Great PRICE Appreciation in their Values over the last few years, a car like this may actually be worthy of restoration and the many new replacement panels needed, but most likely it is no more than a Donor Car for your other more solid projects as this car has many nice and hard to find pieces on it. It has some Very Nice Stainless Trim Bits, Gauges, Console, Seat Belts, Glass Windshield with a minor corner crack, Rear and Side Glass, Near Perfect Front and Rear Stainless Steel Bumpers with Over-Riders, Grill, Headlamps, Tail-lamps, Side Marker Lamps, Alloy Wheels, Good 5-Speed Transmission, Koni Shocks, ATE Booster, Master Cylinder and Calipers, Rear-End Differential and Axle and Drive-Shaft, Euro-Style Performance Cast Iron Header Maifold, Wiper Linkage and Motor, Wiring Harness, Seat Frames needing new foams and covers, Dash, ETC, ETC, ETC. ..! The car comes with a Good Clear and Open Indiana Title in the event that it will be restored. It is also believed to have the rare owners manual in the glove box but I could not get it opened without prying and possibly damaging the door or dash around it! I just picked it up in trade from the second owner who has had it since 1982, but he did a very poor job of preserving it from the Northern Indiana Elements over all of those years.
