Offered for sale, from KURT TANNER MOTORCARS, is this exceptionally original Alfa Romeo 2000 Spyder. This car was recently purchased from only its second California owner who owned the car nearly from new. It is extremely rare nowadays to find such an honest, well-preserved original California car in such great condition, being garaged every day of its life.
This car still retains it's completely original interior trim in near perfect condition. This includes the original seats, carpets, rubber floor mats, door panels and interior panels, dashboard, top boot cover, windshield glass, etc. The car is fitted with a replacement top and included is an older tonneau cover.
The car's body is exceptional, being completely accident-free and rust free, save for a few tiny bubbles on the rear of the rockers. The car received a single modest repaint over its original red at some time in the past. It appears that some large chrome items (bumpers) were re-plated as well at that time.
Mechanically, the car's engine is in excellent health and runs very well. Currently the carbs are in need of a straightforward rebuild along with new mounting rubbers. There are some leftover, saved, used items such as timing chains, pistons and rings, bearings, gaskets, etc., all evidence that the engine was refreshed at one point in its life. The car has just had its fuel system cleaned out and the brake and clutch hydraulic systems have just been completely rebuilt. The car runs and drives very decently but the carburetor rebuild would make it an excellent daily driver.
This car should be preserved as is going forward, with the most work cosmetically to be a quality respray, but presents nicely as it is for now. It is a highly attractive, exceptional original car with a great California history from new. When compared to the rest of the market, this car represents very good value, a fantastic usable and comfortable driver as a beautiful, open Italian Touring Convertible.

Title Information
: Vehicles titles may be held by banks or lenders as collateral for loans. In many cases there is a delay in receiving the original instruments up to 21 days from the time we pay a vehicle off. While we usually have all titles in our possession at closing, there are occasions where we may be waiting for them to arrive. If payment is made by cashier's or personal checks we will hold all titles for 10 days or until funds have cleared.

Within 72 hours of bid closing, Buyer must send balance of funds by bank wire transfer, cash in person, bank certified funds to Seller.
