1979 Alfa Romeo Spider
This Alfa's first owner was a dentist in Southern California, I believe I am the second owner. Over the years, I collected some of these cars however due to my age and poor heath it's time for someone else to put some work in to this one and enjoy it. Not to mention, if kept clean and original it will only appreciate in value as an investment and 79 is a desirable year of this model. The car had been sitting for a long time, last year my mechanic cleaned up the gas tank, fuel system along with a fuel pump and some other things which I might have the recent work orders for. Since then, almost every weekend I have driven it around my neighborhood and occasionally just let it run for a while. It runs strong and the clutch is good, all gauges both speed and overall odometer are functional and the tires are good as well. Small crack about 2 or 3 inches on the bottom right corner of the windshield which started and ended on the same corner and I was advised to just leave it like that (not extendable). There is a cut approximately 1/2 inch on the top (placed a sharp load on it in a parking lot) which has already been treated so there is no leaking. It is my classic car policy to sell my vehicles on an as is basis, however l have had old cars that I have sold through ebay and the the buyers drove them across the country/states to Lamberta, Canada, New York, Wisconsin etc. and they all called me upon arrival with the good news of we are home safe! (check my feedback.) As far as the appearance, car could be used the way it is or give it a reputable, real classic value, it needs paint. About the other things please check the pictures and please let me know any and all questions you may have. I assume whoever gets involved in the bidding process is already capable of fulfilling his or her financial commitment as I am not in a position to finance this car. Thank you in advance. Also, I lost the radio face plate so there is not one included.
