This car has spent its entire life in a dry environment and has been garaged as long as I have owned it (last 8 yrs) and the previous owner kept it in an airplane hangar along with his other collectable cars. There is no rust anywhere on the body. It has been driven only on sunny weekends since I have owned it. It is not a garage or trailer queen but has been driven on nice days. Very sharp looking, very well maintained Italian sports car convertible. Paint is original but reflects the care taken by myself and previous owners. It has a very rich green exterior and tan interior color combination. Body appears good condition with only minimal stone chips on the front. Tires and brakes are in good condition. Very well maintained original interior, dashboard has no cracks, seats have no visible rips or tears, carpet has no visible wear spots or holes and transmission shifts smooth with no grinding when shifting into 2nd gear and top is in very good condition with clear back window. A/C needs charge but heater works well. Odometer registers 64K original miles.
Vehicle has had the following work performed:
1. Muffler and catalytic converter has been replaced with recommended parts;
2. All brake fluids has been replaced;
3. Injectors have been rebuilt
4. New 5 year battery;
5. Oil pan and rear differential gaskets have been replaced;
6. Trunk cable has been replaced;
7. Odometer cable has been re-attached to speedometer cable (mileage is off about 200 miles);
8. Motor and transmission mounts, drive shaft bearing and drive shaft joint have been replaced;
9. Compression test results:
a. Cylinder 1 - 145
b. Cylinder 2 - 145
c. Cylinder 3 - 140
d. Cylinder 4 - 150
This is the Series 4 model and can be identified as follows:
1. Bumpers are color-keyed with the body paint
2. New Bosch electronic fuel injection system
3. Seats are leather with suede inserts
4. Disk brakes
5. Power windows, Power mirrors and Full instrumentation
I would recommend prospective buyer talk to the mechanic who has worked on my vehicle for his assessment. Vehicles has passed smog test when required by DMV and is being sold “as is”.
