1965 ALFA ROMEO SPIDER NORMALE restoration project!
If you look at the pictures you will see dents in the car. These dents were caused by the junk yard that picked up the car from the former owners back yard where the car sat for years. It was being discarded by the owners widow who gave it to the junk yard. I bought it before it was about to be crushed. That was several years ago and I have just been too busy to work on it, and I don't have the money to restore it. There is rust in the floor boards and the trunk area. The good news is, IT IS ALL THERE. Many of the small important parts are there and most are in excellent condition for restoration.
Here is a list of what needs to be done other than the obvious. The top bows will need to be reconditioned as they are bent. The drivers window is shatterd but I included one with the car, the passenger window is in the door and not broken. Both fixed vent glass windows were shattered but I included one that can be copied by a glass shop for a few dollars. The windshield is shattered , BUT I have a new one. If you 'buy it now' I will include the new windshield. If you exceed the reserve and are the highest bidder I will sell you the new windshied unless your bid exceeds the 'Buy it now' and in that event I will include the windshield.
The windshield uprights are bent and the right side one broke. I have included good ones with the car. There is very little missing. It has 4 wheels that are correct. The brake pads (front) and the rear brake shoes are in the trunk. I took them off so the car is easier to push. This car is original. The mileage cannot be verified, however the throttle peddle condition would suggest that this car actually has only 80, 859 miles.
