1987 Alfa Romeo Spider Veloce in excellent all around condition. Was recently in storage for 14 years!
· This car has New Paint (as of December, 2014), No Rust and No Dings on body (except 1 paint chip on door edge which I did just recently)
· New tires, New battery,
· Convertible top is in excellent shape (no rips, clean).
· This car is also in great mechanical condition. No problems, starts right up every time, runs nice and smooth. And gets great gas mileage – 26.5 MPG!
· The exhaust and all the key suspension parts have been replaced (eg, springs, shocks), See pics.
· The chassis is solid – drives excellent, nice and straight, doesn’t shake
So overall this is just a great car that I was lucky enough to find last Fall. This car actually sat neglected in a garage for 14 years! The previous owner put only 600 miles on the car in all those years. When I bought the car, it had the typical problems associated with sitting for such a long time, thus the new battery and tires.
There are some remaining issues that are still on my “to do list” but I hope you would agree they do not seem to be relatively serious. In order of my own priority:
· Shifter boot has a few small holes in it (see pic). Easy fix
· Trunk latch works, but housing needs replacement. Should be an easy fix
· Small tear on drive seat (see pic) and another small tear on passenger seat
· Original radio (with cassette!) is disconnected (bunch of dangling wires)
· Passive seat belt mechanism is disconnected. I am happy to use the normal manual process to buckle my seat belt
So over all, this is a great car that I think the next owner would be very happy with.
There are no surprises, you can buy with confidence.
