Up for auction is a gorgeous 1964 2600 Alfa Romeo Spider, designed and coach built by Touring. This is a great car, super fun, gets lots of attention. Not pebble beach ready but you can very proudly display her in local car shows. You will get tons of compliments. This car has always been garaged, hand washed, never seen rain or snow. For reference: a similar car was sold this year at R&M auction in Phoenix for $112, 000.
Exterior
The exterior has a beautiful red paint job, very shiny. (In fact it was too shiny for my camera on some of the photos). All the bumpers have been professionally re-chromed, brand new tail light lenses have just been installed. You can see from the photos that the floor panels - both front section and behind the seat - are exceptionally solid. In fact, the only issue I was able to see is a slightly bent DS front jack post. The other jack posts are straight - although I always life old cars by their frame :)
Car also has newly chromed license plate light, license plate holder, head light rings, and brand new front grille. The front turn signal indicators are correct Corello with new lenses and brand new chrome strip. Both windshield posts were removed and professionally chromed, the top and bottom trim where polished. The tires are in excellent shape, Michelin 400s, with inner tubes - correct for this car. All four hubcaps are brand new - super shiny. Full size spare in trunk.
Engine
The engine starts right up - with the choke - and runs great. The previous owner installed a muffler that makes the car sound like a Ferrari - really, it sounds like a million dollars. The engine was removed and professionally cleaned. The radiator was professionally flushed and cleaned. All the major parts (throttle assembly, air intake canister, brake fluid canisters) have been power coated. The valve cover has been recently professionally buffed. The engine bay - as you see it on the photo - is immaculate!
The exhaust headers have been professionally Jet-Hot coated to channel most of the heat down to the down-pipes. Note that since here in Arizona we don't need heat - the heater core was bypassed (but its good and is installed inside the car).
The car has a brand new wiring harness (factory specific). It also comes with a 48 x 36 complete wiring diagram - which is not available anywhere else (I drew this myself)! The generator and the voltage regulators have been recently restored. Both the radiator fan as well as it shroud have been powder coated to match the rest of the engine bay.
Interior
The interior of the car is in excellent condition. New rear bench seat cover, new tonneau cover, brand new carpet set, including a new trunk mat (vinyl). The dash board has also been restored by a professional upholstery shop. The steering wheel was recently buffed. Car are comes with brand new door panels, all new door hardware (new chrome handles).
The seats have no tears, black, nice and shiny. The seat frames are rust free, and have been both professionally powder coated.
Extras
Being an Arizona car, I have not had a chance to purchase or install a soft top. However, the car comes with an extremely rare factory hard top option, with a brand new rear windshield and windshield weather stripping.
I will also include a hard top stand with wheels, that make storing and moving the hard top very easy (see picture).

If I left out something that is important to you, please don't hesitate to ask. Local inspections are also welcome. Because of the age of the car, it is being sold as is, where is. Shipping is the responsibility of the buyer, however, I can assist you with finding a transporter and loading the car. Please note that the car is also being advertised locally. I reserve the right to end the auction at any time, unless the bidder exercises the Buy-It-Now option. A $500 non-refundable deposit is due within 24 hours of close of auction. The remainder of the balance is due in cash or U.S. bank wire transfer within 72 hours.
