Up for sale is a restored 1968 AMX. the car came with a 390 but has been replaced some 25 years ago with a good running 343 with less than 50.000 miles on it. The car has a fresh professional 2 stage show quality paint job cost of $11, 500 in the original color as per door tag. Still retains all its original sheet metal, rockers hood trunk lid fenders etc. and cancer free. also features a fresh center force clutch assembly with a great shifting Borg Warner T-10 transmission and serviced Dana 20 differential. The dash assembly is crack free and original door panels are in excellent condition, The seats have been fully restored with new buns as well as the original style seat covers and new carpet. The dash cluster is from a 1969 AMX with the 140 MPH speedoometer and 8, 000 RPM tach. There is a new brake booster and master cylinder installed with the power drum brakes. I have a set of disc brake caliper rotors spindles and assorted hardware for conversion. It features one of my show quality wiper motors with lots of zinc plating as well hood hinges and assorted linkage rods mount and nuts and bolts lots of detail. The door latch assemblies have been zinc plated along with the fuel door, ashtray trunk latch and much more, The car has an original space saver spare tire and lug wrench as well. The car starts and runs well rides well and handles like new. my brother had purchased the car in around 1993 and planned to restore it but unfortunately passed away in 2007 so I decided to honor his wishes and restore the car myself.
