1968 AMC AMX, 72, 000 original miles, automatic transmission, motor and body all original, white exterior, red interior, 343-4 barrel high performance 290HP. Equipped with go pack twin traction differential, power steering, power brake, AM radio, new show paint on car and motor compartment, new radiator, new disc pads, new brakes and hoses, new tires, new windshield, new chromes, new door handles, new chrome tail lamp housing, new weather strips and felts, new AMX grill, new headliner, new carpets, new vinyl seats and foam padding from Legendary, new trunk mat, new door sill plates, just rebuilt steering wheel (cost 1 000$).
The undercarriage is still the original gravel guard from the manufacturer and looks like brand new. This car is solid and like new.
All chromes and windows were removed before painting. There was no rust on the car except on the hood lip, a metal piece was put to redo the hood lip (I have all the pics to prove it). I repainted the car mainly because I wanted to have a beautiful car for shows. Over $30, 000. invested in the car, paint job cost $6, 000. plus $2, 000 to take out and detail motor, and paint motor compartment. Pictures show tag on valve cover. The car is all stock with no modification.
Won Gold medal for Best Mopar muscle car in Lake Placid in 2012. This car wins at most car shows. Will give trophies to future buyer if wanted. Also have over 40 pics before paint that shows the great original condition of the car. Own by senior. Reason for selling, I don't use the car anymore for health purpose.
You won't see an AMX all original in almost showroom condition like this one.
