AMC AMX (1974)

Price: US $2,800.00
Up for sale is my 1974 AMX Javelin. It is a factory Trans Am Red car with a 304/auto and white vinyl top and a/c. Currently has no engine, but a 727 auto with drive shaft. I bought this car off a friend and AMC veteran. He amassed a great deal of parts for this car to put together, and has also done a lot of work himself. Work done is:
Complete front end rebuild, fuel tank reconditioned, new metal fuel and brake lines, idler and pitman arms, new rubber hoses.
The car comes with new Legendary weather strip kit, a/c condenser and NOS seat material.
I have 4 AMX bucket grilles to choose from. Included in this auction is one of the buyers choice. All are broken in some form, but usable and restorible. Hood chrome has some blemishes. Also comes with AMX grille mesh, AMX emblems, front spoiler, great front and rear bumper cores(fine for driver, great for cores), NOS tail lights and dual sport mirrors. New aluminum door seal plates.
Overall body is in good shape. The bad are the lower quarter on the rh side and rh sail panel due to the vinyl top. Ls quarter is fine, with lite bubbling under the vinyl top sail panel section. Trunk(one quarter size rust hole), floor pans, rockers, uni-frame rails, everything else are in impeccable shape. Even under the battery tray! Around the rear window and front windshield included. Hood is a non functional cowl induction, which will save one for seeking out the elusive cowl air cleaner assembly, but still have the awesome cowl look. Hood has no broken corners and is in great shape.
Interior is in good to great shape considering age. Dash is perfect, as well with instrument structure and cluster. The cluster sports the 140/tach cluster with gorgeous, defining, unfaded color on the tach and speedo. Don't know the actual mileage of the car, for the speed cluster isn't original to the car. This sports an am/fm radio that will have to be wired in. Correct tuner and volume knobs in place. Glove box opens and closes correctly. Console is free of cracks and shifter functions correctly with full function of the horse shoe button. Front seats, namely drivers, need redone to be right. Rear seat is free of major blemish. Factory AMX door panel turned metal inserts are strong, along with the instrument cluster overlay. While the door panels themselves are in good shape, a sanding and repainting is necessary for show quality. One interior sail panel is busted, and I do not have one in the correct color to include.
Also included are rocker trim, all the vinyl top trim(a few pieces NOS), usable hood chrome(not perfect, but better than nothing), NOS door seal chrome, or in short 90% of everything to do this car, including the V8 fan shroud. I do not think I have a clean radiator, though I can include a core for rebuild.
I want this car to go to a good home. I got this from a friend whom had those same intentions. But buying a Gremlin for my wife has changed my focus, and I hate to be one of those I'll get to it some day guys. I have too much stuff that goes with this car to take pictures of, for Ebay limits 24 pics per auction. If you don't see it, chances are it's included. A lot of little things most folks don't think of until it's needed.
All questions welcome. High bidder is to make a $200 paypal deposit within 24 hours. Pick up and full payment within 7 days unless discussed. Don't bid drunk! Don't bid unless you know your wife won't be upset! No reserve auction means asking price is my bottom dollar. Thanks for looking!
