Barn Find! 1971 AMC AMX, Original 401, 4 Speed, Original California car, Still has its blue plates, and Dealership frame from when purchased new. Last Ran and registered in the last 80's, It was parked due to engine failure that wiped out the block, So it is currently less engine, although I do have some of the original engine parts. (timing cover, distributor, pistons, and rods, oil pan, valve covers, etc) Original color was Burnish Brown which I'm told is the rarest color for 71 AMX's. Speaking of rare, If you don't already know, there was only 745 built with the 401, and probably less than half were 4 speeds! Overall, Car is pretty solid, has rust behind the rear wheels on the lower quarters, and a bit of surface rust in the trunk. Interior is all original, and decent aside from a few tears in the front seats. Has original shifter, Rally wheels, Steering wheel etc. Hood was replaced in the 70s with a custom tear drop scoop, front grille is missing the mesh cover. Sold as-is.
