Mickey Thompson 31 x 13 x 15 slicks. Weld wheels. Tubbed, 4 link rear. I do not know the mileage so what is listed is not correct. This car was born a plum factory Gremlin X v-8 car with a 3 speed. Now, the car is built for one thing and that's the 1/4 mile. This is a very solid but old school build. The body is not perfect, it has a few bumps and bruises here and there and the paint is not the greatest but it still looks pretty good. It is perfect to go racing and not need to worry about the occasional bump, bruise, or scrape happening. If you feel inclined to make it perfect, it won't take much to do so. The person I bought the car from was a drag racer with his own car and bought the car one day at the track with the intentions of racing it. He said the day he bought it the car was running 11.60's. He never raced as he owns a drag pack Cuda. I tracked down the previous 2 owners before that and this is what I was told by them. First owner: The car was built in the early 90's. It ran 10.80's and would reach for the sky. He told me he shifted at 6500 R.P.M. That gentleman then sold the car around 2000. That gentleman owned the car up to 2014. That owner told me he ran it in the mid 11's shifting at 4500 R.P.M. and going through the top end at 6500 R.P.M. He said he wanted the car to last so he slowed it down by shifting early. He made no changes to the car. He said he did have the trans gone through and rebuilt for good measure. It did not break. He said he ran it 4-5 times a year and the last five years he owned it he raced very little due to college costs and his home track had closed so distance was an issue to get to Kearny Nebraska drag strip where if you go to their Facebook page there is a picture of the car launching. Neither owner could remember what the cam lift was and the second owner told me he believed it's bored out and he was pretty sure was10:1 compression. He said it would not run well on pump gas so he ran 110 race gas. I will glad to give the contact info for both of those owners once the car changes ownership. My thinking here is this car should still run high 10's or low 11's if you shift it at 6200 just to not beat on it. I have driven the car on a private road by work, I can tell you one thing, this Gremlin means business. It's no joke. I was able to get a good launch and it seemed to pull the wheels, I hit second gear at 6000 and let off. For that short stretch it seemed to handle real well like it should. The rear tires are not real old and have a lot of life left in them. The front tires are about 5 years old. They don't have any dry rot etc. on them. If you hit the buy it now, I will deliver the car within 400 miles of 60561. If I deliver the car to you, I have no problem finishing up the deal in person and in cash. Before I leave though, I will require a $750 non refundable payment in my hands. Should you back out of the deal in any way, you lose the $750. Of course, the $750 will be applied to the purchase of the car otherwise. If you want to use a personal or certified check, the check must clear funds before ownership changes. I will not accept payment through Paypal for the balance unless you want to pay the fees. Please contact me if you have any questions. I have told you all I know about the car and have done my best to represent its condition. It's an awesome car and the perfect to go bracket racing. Contact me through the e-bay portal if you have any questions. Be glad to answer them.
