This is a 1970 AMC sst javelin Mark Donohue edition. Owner has had it for 15 years, as you can see from the pictures it is excellent condition. A real rare car not many on the road can't buy a new javelin let alone a mark Donahue, Camaro's, mustangs and chargers can all be purchased new. AMC been out of business since 1988.
Car gets a lot of looks very rare not many like it out there.
Car completely restored from top to bottom.
Engine
The engine is a 360 with 401 heads. Owner rebuilt engine completely block was boiled out and welch plugs(freeze out plugs) were changed and crankshaft was balance engine bored .010 inch over to clean up cylinder walls has about 4000 miles on engine also has brand new Holley 4 barrel carb too. Has the ram air hood that forces the air in the engine at high speeds. It has original 4 speed manual T-10 transmission all cast iron (bullet proof)with original Hurst shiffter with the hurst T handle, New clutch flywheel Blanch ground not just machined the way they do it at factory. Has a posi-traction rear end. It is really just driven to car shows (won alot of awards with it). Car is kept in heated garage, never driven in the rain.

Upgraded parts

It has some modern parts powermaster mini torque starter, Big monster tachometer with shifting light, hooker headers, chrome 100 amp alternator, two 5point R.J.S racing seat belts, American racing rims. Which look great on that car. I have all receipts to everything on car everything adds up to $30, 000 that was put in car.
Ignition

complete MSD ignition kit: (think they call it stage 3) the MSD billet aluminum distributor, MSD blaster coil, MSD box has over-rev ignition cutt off so you don't blow the engine if you over rev it and msd spark plug wires.
Don't let me scare you owner does not race this car, but you could if you want its fast. Cause of all these modern parts the car is very reliable you can take a long drive and not worry about breaking down.
Sound system

Has a Panasonic head unit, two 6.5inch JL audio speakers in the back seat, two 4inch Pioneer y in the front, two MA audio 12inch subs in the trunk run by a 1200watt Rockfordfosgate amp. The amp also has a regulater in the dash to lower and raise the bass. Sounds good!!!
Interior
New reproduction carpet with new tar mats for floor boards and all new insulation under carpet at firewall ect, new re production front seat covers, new front door panels, new rear shelf trim and rear shelf insulator that covers speaker, new head liner, new glove box and new front dash pad. Arm rest re stitched good as new.


Suspension and brakes
New polyurethane bushings all new ball joints new sway bar bushings, and new rear leaf springs and all new shocks. Has new Front disc rotors and pads that came with the mark donahue package and drums in rear new pads and drums. All new brake lines, master cylinder and slave cylinder.
Belt squealed but it was tightened and it is fine now
Body
All new reproduction emblems. Car completely repainted interior engine compartment and undercarriage. New front winshield and side window, Rest of windows are original and have small scratch to be expected for a 45 year old car. Doors trunk hood, fenders were taken off and repainted a nice heavy metallic blue that sparkles in the sun. Paint has few chips and starting to bubble at fender car is 9 out of 10 I would say Front and back Bumpers are re chromed. Trim in good condition also Has the very rare mark Donahue spoiler with the reproduction Mark Donahue sticker. All weather stripping on doors and trunk are brand new.

Owner story
car spent its life in Long Island and was brought to upstate New York to be stored in a barn. Owner receive Car in his teens and him and his father completely restored car because he wanted to grow up and be an engineer. He now joined in the family business making leaf blowers, leaf vacuums and push mowers. The is one of the best cars at car shows very rare. Rare to have a AMC and even rarer to have a mark Donahue javelin. Car always gets a lot of attention You won't see one with this much attention to detail and with almost every part updated and restored.
